Why do we automatically unmute people after game?

The community in general is not respectful enough to -make productive discussions after game -politely and mannerly comment to one another about the game and best wishes on the next one -add to friends list after game for manners and hopefully seeing one another in a future game

Granted, I'm sure there are people who are polite and all but if I have you on mute during the game chances are you're not one of those people.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. If they are muted, shouldn't they STAY muted? If they were muted, chances are they were being toxic or annoying, etc. in the first place, and they would just spew more in the post-game chat.

Probably a bug that popped up since this previously wasn't the case.

I muted someone and the next game I was with them again. Muted them again, and I got into another game with them.

I ended up typing them into my ignored list, but if you are muting someone in a game I feel that the should get added to the ignore list automatically.

You can do "/ignore <player>" if you want that functionality.

They used to auto-ignore, but it caused issues like people accidentally ignoring one of their friends, which then unfriends them.

I thought the mute was supposed to stick in the post-game lobby, though.

Because you can leave the post-game lobby at any time.
