[REWORK CONCEPT] Fiddlesticks, the Harbinger of the Harvest Queen

NOTE I consider this a mere concept rather than proper gameplay topic, but mods thought it should be here. Many years ago in humble village on the Blessed Isles, there was a phrase "Being dense as Fiddle wood" to describe one unblessed with sharp wits. As impolite as it is, it became an unfortunate name for one of locals, from birth very simple boy. Hopes he was but a jolly spirit at youth disappeared when he neared 30th year of his life, bearing a mind of eight years old boy even then. While many tried to provide him help in his struggle to survive, all laughed behind his back.

Fiddlesticks, as he was called for both his simple mind and his skinny body, found work helping to tend to farm of Master Canvil who owned large and yet thriving field of pumpkins. Though not rewarded enough for the efforts Fiddle had to give, being paid by roof under one's head and food three times a day was all Fiddle needed for happiness, especially since his days were filled with joy with him having opportunity to lay eyes on Master Canvil's daughter, young maiden named Regisilla.

Fiddle used all opportunities he had to help Regi only to see her smile and she, though careless about this dumb farmboy, smiled for him thinking that's the only light he'd have in his life. For years it was like this and for years Fiddle dreamed of marrying her. One day Harvest Festival took place, and as tradition was, the wife or daughter of the farmer who'd contribute the most to the year's harvest was symbolically crowned the Harvest Queen. Regisilla had the honor to be crowned that day when the tragedy happened.

Fiddle got imensely excited as his poor mind didn't understand this was but a traditional celebration and he spent all evening creating the nicest wreath to lie it down to Regi's feet, kneeling to her as his queen, praising her beauty and finally gathering the courage to ask her to be her king. A wave of laugh went through the crowds, some of them thinking Fiddle is just jesting, others fully realizing he's being serious. When Fiddle gazed upon the honest laughter for no one took his actions seriously and when he gazed upon Regi's disgusted look, he suddenly felt empty inside. Crying, he ran to hide among the pumpkins he tended to, only to find them destroyed by kids who carved scary faces into them. In anger, he kicked a stone that bounced off near tree and hit him in the head, leaving him unconscious on the ground.

In the meantime his body was found by kids who thought he had too much beverages during the festival and decided to make fun of him by tying him to wooden stick and cover him with hay, making him look like a scarecrow. But loud thunder's voice went through the skies and scared, the children ran away to their homes. Cold rain was falling down, harsh winds were howling around and poor Fiddle could do nothing, not knowing what happened to him, feeling only pain and misery. The water washed his tears soaked with sorrow into the ground and the sorrow filled the soil. The next day they found his dead body, his soul gone due to the cold.

Regretting their actions, many gathered on the day of his funeral, to put him to final rest in the very soil he tended to, to make nice wreaths such as the one he gave Regi, to say sorry and to say good bye. No plant was ever since planted into the soil of the farm, it was made his own domain as memorial, the only thing anyone could do now. And his body and his soul, and his pain and his sorrow slept there with rest, until the day of the Mourning Dawn.

Village was naught but two spooky huts by then, one abandoned skeleton of what used to be the mansion of the farmer Master Canvil, the other humble house of who used to be Regisilla, now known as simply Fiddlefield Hag. No one knew how old this hag was, just that she would live lonely here, tending to many pumpkins that by miracle kept growing in the fields. Her last duty. Her last attempt at redemption. Her spirit left her body eventually, she turned into dust, but the mark of the presence of the Harvest Queen remained.

Then the isles got broken. Foul magics soaked the ground, the trees, the air. Dark mist rose and grasped the isles, turning it forever into place of death and woes. And the miseries that were kept hidden woke up restless once again. Fiddle's spirit could no longer sleep as it has slept up to now, it planted itself into the wooden scarecrow that used to be its damnation and it was forever cursed to roam around the fields, sensing the presence of the Harvest Queen, being left with distorted memories of what happened.

He brought her wreath and she liked it, she smiled and they were to be wed. But the villagers stood in the way. They didn't want them together. They tied him to bound him. They casted sorrow upon him. And they forbid Harvest Queen to marry him. For long they were obstacle, but not anymore.

Fiddle ignited the pain and made the sorrow scream and the pumpkins with scary faces that were rotting around came to life. They would follow him and they would be the omen of his presence. Every field would have scarecrow grow out of its soil now and every one of them would be Fiddlesticks. Should mortal come close, the scarecrow would move and Fiddle would be awaken, to hug the poor human with misery as Fiddle was forced to be hugged, to have them die in cold like Fiddle died. And their spirit would be trapped inside one of newly grown pumpkins, forever a guest for Fiddle's neverending wedding feast, forever waiting for return of the Harvest Queen. But she wouldn't return - her spirit was free, leaving with feeling of relief before Mourning Mists could claim her.

From what was haunting scourge of one field became haunting scourge of all fields of the Shadow Isles and soon, Fiddlesticks' presence would be taken by Harrowing far beyond the sea. Into fields unknown. So that everyone would be able to join the feast.

This would make fiddlestick so much fun. I would use him in mid lane a lot more. Fiddlestick is kinda wack right now so Riot I hope you doing this.
