So should riot do something about the state of supports in terms of their popularity?

Why is it the least popular role? You have a lot of people crying about not wanting to support. Why do people consider it a chore that they hate to want to do? What's stopping people from finding support fun?

What's with assist gold? I remember a match where i was something of the lines 1-3-27 and the enemy blitz had 8 deaths and 2 kills and about 7 assists yet I barely had around 1k more gold than he did.

Anyways, what's keeping this role from being enjoyed? What could be done to change that? Although, it's not as bad as team builder waiting 40 minutes for a support to pop up just to have they leave compared to the new queu, it still remains a problem right?

That i like champions that don't go support.

I do feel it is more of a low elo problem (found it increasingly difficult to get support without people bitching as I climbed to plat in S4). However, support is always going to be the least popular because people like to shine, and support, by definition, is selfless. Supports do not shine, they make their teammates shine. Not everyone can find that enjoyable. It doesn't mean that there is a core problem to the support role, or the support champions.

For that matter, no role pleases everyone. The game has something for everyone, and that is great.

I hate jungling with a passion. Hate it, hate it, hate it. Would rather pluck my eyes out and toss myself off a bridge. I have around 5k games played on Summoner's Rift, and I can legitimately say I jungled 10 or even fewer than 10 of those games. I won't be toxic about it, but if I cannot convince my team that they really, really don't want me to jungle, I'll just dodge, whatever the penalty is, I'll take it over 20+ min of hating everything about the game.

Yet there are many people who love jungling. Does that mean Riot needs to severely alter the jungle role so that I can like it as well? No. I don't have to like it. People who currently like jungling do not have to see their favored role get screwed because some dudette did not like it the way it was.
