Why Dragon And Baron Timers Shouldn't Be Automatic

On pbe, rito implemented a system where you get dragon timers upon seeing an empty dragon pit or seeing enemy champion with the buff (pretty much automatic, not like enemy team is gonna get dragon and hide in a bush jerking off each other for the rest of the game) and you get baron timer automatically as soon as it dies, no vision required. They tried to justified these timers by stating that this is more with a fight with the ui because you probably already know the timer when you see the enemy anyway. They also said it's to reduce snowballing but really it's a handicap for the team who has little to no wards. Very rarely do you lose due to tons of wards that your team placed. But really this just discourages warding, good warding should reward you with things like baron and dragon timers. I know this change has been pulled from pbe but based on the past, rito has pushed out changes to live that were pulled from pbe. Just something I'd like to share. What do you think?

You don't auto get baron timer if you can't see into the pit.

I laughed when I read the notes that the timers becoming automatic would increase the amount of comebacks. No, in all likelihood, the weaker team will think, "OMG, dragon is up. Let's go get it." And then get bopped even harder because of the skill gap. Maybe if matchmaking really were that good, it would help, but no, this will just encourage more snowballing since most matches are not close.

yeah, the first time you see an enemy you know when they took it. once you see that why not give the timer because its not like you don't know.
