Baron's Buff needs to be toned down

Getting Baron now may seem like a worse alternative than dragon, but when used correctly, ends the game in about a minute even if only one person on the enemy team has baron buff!

If a teammate gets caught out, its GG. The enemy team can proceed to push any one lane, and the minions still obtain the bonuses from baron. You and your allies cannot come close to killing the minions before the enemy takes a tower. They can also move on to the next turret because minions move very quickly with baron's bonuses. It is not unusual with this buff, that the enemy team can take out 4 towers, an inhibitor, and the nexus in one minute.

Baron buff when it gave stats offered an incentive to picking off enemy champions, as their individual power level was greatly decreased. Now, however, all five enemy champions must be killed, or there is very little gain for your team.

This clearly needs to be addressed. Killing one player should mean an objective or two, not GG.

I agree entirely. The new baron buff is extremely oppressive to the defending team, and it's entirely because of the minions. I just had a game where we got baron, pushed to their base, FOUR OF US DIED, but the enemy wasn't able to do anything afterward. When we respawned, the one person who still had baron let us just march right back up to their base, take a tower, inhib, and then back off before having any further casualties. Having most of your team wiped while having baron buff should not be a moment where you say "it's okay guys, one of us still has it."

Meh it can easily go the other way around and I don't mean to sound rude either. I've had my games where my team would get the baron, sometime even twice inn this new patch to only end up losing. The new baron is basically a well defined siege tool. While many players will look at it as it's former self of superb passive regen and huge stat boosts that grant near invincibility; the players who are smart see it merely as an augmentation to their current strength to widen a lead, end a game, or counter attack if they were behind and happened to secure the buff.

Teams with barons can be fought off and killed just like in any other team fight and honestly it's easier to just kill the baron team imo than it was before because they cannot regen. If you're the baron team and don't have good team coordination, then you will only prolong the inevitable. Only teams that play well, or overall better as a unit than the opposing team win Season 5 games.

The only problem with killing the baron team is if you do not get an ace, you have accomplished very, very little. Teams do not need to be well coordinated--they must pick someone off and then shove mid, which is not an uncommon strategy for an uncoordinated team.

How's about you turtle at base till the buff runs out? Not that long.

How do you turtle against those super minions?

Baron buff should lose the extra AD/AP it gives, otherwise the purpose the new stuff they gave it won't change how it's used.

This is what baron buff should do. Being little cowards and delaying a game 20 minutes behind your tower is boring to play and even more boring to watch. Dragon needs to be toned down but getting baron should almost guarantee victory unless you are way behind.

maybe I agree... only the minion buff part... maybe it's a LITTLE too much... other than that... no...

Nerfing it in any way, no matter the severity, would be toning down the buff.
