Probably one of the worst DQ story i've heard so far..
What i'm about to say i am aware HAS happened before DQ, the being said it was limited to PREMADES.. which is where the whole damned issue with DQ stands. A friend of mine was playing veigar mid solo, this particular game he happens to get a great team consequently a 4 man premade. They're stomping, doing great and the game looks to be done around the 25 min mark evident with his exclamations as they get a 2nd ace 19 mins in (was in a skype call). However the enemy team doesn't ff as theyre locked in semi salty/playful banter with my friends premade. Eventually around the 23 minute mark the topic somehow gets to surrendering. They throw a few jokes back and forth.. and then a surrender vote appears on my friends screen. 24 minutes, 10k+ gold lead and easy easy win. My friend is at 0 lp and needed this game to stay in his division and this team of people who were probably just "joking around" surrender for the hell of it. My friend gets demoted, and promptly tilted into oblivion.
Thx Rito, and Thx to all those people who constantly fail to see the difference between the point of normals and the point of ranked. (implying rank even matters now the DQ exists)
Edit: Just to clarify, this post was made to illustrate a problem that though happened prior to Dynamic Queue (but almost exclusively limited to normals) Dynamic Queue has exasperated the chances of situations like this even having the chance to occur. My main issue is that Dynamic Queue as an IDEA seemed great, but in practice as we can mostly see it isn't compared to its predecessor. Solo Queue was simply more balanced in terms of static variables. I in no way blame Dynamic Queue for my own rank or the rank of "some" of my friends.. but us solo queue players deserve a seperate ladder or something along those lines so that we can atleast retain the competitive integrity that made league so popular in previous seasons.
