Is there a reason why dodging in champ select coumts as a loss in promos?

I just started my promos to go to silver 3 to 2 and I dodged a game in champ select because I had to go to the washroom and it counted as a loss to my promos. Is there a reason why?

to stop people from consistently dodging until they got the 60%+ winrate team to game the promos system
