Should Blind Pick get role selection?

Let's pretend, that you got an idea for something new. Not a troll build, but certainly off-meta.

Or you want to learn a new role, or champ.

Question is: Where to do it?

Coop: Beside the fact, that AI does not give nearly as much challenge as players. Certain roles are not guaranteed. Especially true for jungler. One or two mach maybe so you figure out how your champion works. A few more for junglers so you can learn proper jungle cleaning.

Blind pick: Chance of getting the role you want is quite low in case of popular roles. So it may, or may not work. If blind pick were role choosing style like Draft, then i would say go for it. In fact it would be even better than draft as no bans, and enemy can't pick your champion either.

Draft pick: This is what remains. Unless your role is not popular. Like Support for some reason. At least i get that like 99,9% of my games as main.

Ranked: If you don't know why you shouldn't do such here, then either learn about the game first, or get some common sense. In short. Ranked is for the win.

If Blind pick had role selection, then we could say, that Draft is about the final preparation for ranked. And not trying out stuff, or learning game mode.

Not only should blind pick NOT have role selection, but just because a played selected a champion, should NOT prevent another player from selecting the same champion...

It wouldn't hurt thou the addition of extra Que times might be to high. Blind makes quick games because it does not need to look for roles.

They could also do something like the Quick Play system from HOTS where you pre pick your champ prior to grouping up, it would have to account for roles thou. Match quality is pretty weak in that system as well as synergy between champs gets really janky.

It should. While I detest blind pick, Riot themselves said that blind pick would get role selection when they released the new champion select on the old client..

role selection in blind pick defeats the entire point of BLIND pick, doesn't it? If you want to try a new champ or role, you do it in unranked draft pick. even if you're queuing up for mid, you'll get your spot 9 times out of 10.
