So now that it's decided Shoujin's is going away

After we put up with it for all this time, even in its older iterations when the effect was on Essence Reaver, I just wonder - would having tried Atma's Reckoning or the defensive Spear of Shoujin idea been as bad? It's odd that two requested items that people liked from Nexus Blitz got ignored for the CDR gimmick that was simply added cold, if I remember correctly.

Perhaps it's my opinion, but personally I'd rather deal with AD champs having some flat damage reduction for a teamfight, or bruisers getting a bunch of AD after five seconds in a teamfight, instead of dealing with a pool of champs getting to be playing URF during a teamfight. Riot, if you were willing to try so hard to keep Awakened Dragon in the game, why are you not willing to at least try one of these other items?
