A Possible Explaination for Rylais Issues
From my experience, there have been two sides to the argument over
:
1: Certain champions (
) require this item to be even a little viable - thus, this item should not be nerfed whatsoever, to avoid the indirect nerf-to-the-ground of those champions
2: Other champions (
) are super op when they get their hands on a scepter, making it necessary to nerf the crap out of the item.
Maybe the issue isn't how strong/weak the item is - maybe the issue is that the champions that require it haven't had those aspects of the item impletmented in their kits - imagine, if Karthus had a 5-20% slow on his Q, why would he bother buying this item, unless it was to stack slows and be a dick? If Mordekaiser had a Nasus-wither, why would he need this?
The issue is that Riot has taken parts of these champion's kits, and put them on the market - simultainiously weakening those champions, who now have to buy necessary parts of their kits, and strengthening other champions in the game, who can abuse a new ability (imagine taking darius's passive off of him, and making it an item, called, oh, bloody revenge. Without his now required item, darius's ult can't do true damage, and he looses both an item slot and all his early game damage. However, now teemo can get this item, and be even more of an On-hit terror).
My point is, that maybe Rylais could be reworked into something completely new (an active that completely roots someone for a second, or whatever), and those certain champions that require a conditional perma-slow get one.
