The only other thing I can think of is self-casting Mikkaels but I don't know how that interaction works. Or is suppression/heavy CC just supposed to be a hard counter to all AP champs and I shouldn't be picking an AP carry against malz in the first place?

removes all stuns, roots, taunts, fears, silences and slows on an allied champion, as well as granting 2 seconds of slow immunity. Successfully cleansing an effect will also grant the target 40% bonus movement speed for 2 seconds (120 second cooldown) (750 range).
