Mid to endgame he just 1 shots, runs up and 1 shots everyone. Doesn't matter that you're ahead, doesn't matter if you're a tank, just 1 shots.

No, they're not. Because Yi is one of the Big Five Newbie Champions that feed the egos of those players who are obsessed enough about becoming pros that they give Riot every ounce of money the company can squeeze out of them.
These five champions have existed since the beginning or near to it, and are there as an entry-level introduction into stomping in League of Legends. They'll never fix them because people continue to use them when they want an easy time and continue to do consistently well with them, which feeds into the cycle of giving Riot their money. As long as they believe they're virtual badasses who win every game single-handedly, they'll keep playing, which means they'll keep spending.
Don't believe me? Take a look at how many people have M7 on these champions as opposed to most others (Yasuo and a couple more have also made it into that group, though).
No, not every Yi main or Lee Sin main is one of these people, by the way. But the majority are.
