Why is this game still called League of Legends and not called Champion Selection Simulator?

I mean at least 99% of the game now is based on champion selection since Riot refuses to balance the game or make itemization actually have any meaning whatsoever. So why not just lean into what you've made and call the game "Champion Selection Simulator" since that's essentially what it is anymore.
