I mean, you’ve just proven that the way to leave ELO hell is through the gates.

There is an issue though of role viability. A lot of the people who complain about elo hell are playing team oriented playstyles, and those have all taken a hit and were all already weak in low elos. This really just proves that low elos are abysmal at handling split pushers, and that's pretty common knowledge.

Elo hell exists, check Teddy on Jin Air on 2017/2018

Well I think if Elo hell exists or doesnt exists has to do with what champion you play.

I think Udyr is quite an exception here.

If you play a champion who is focused on teammates and (team) fights, Elo hell does exists for sure. Because if your team sucks your champ can't just go deleting all the towers alone like Udyr.

But if you have a strong splitpusher you can just ignore your feeding team and go for the towers and end the game alone.

I recently had a game like that in Plat where our team was feeding and losing like hell and our top Smurf Fiora just did that: pushing the lanes and killing the towers alone. After we had first Inhibitor it became easier. After the second Inhib it was almost won. If she had fought with us, we would have lost the game.

I thought there was no strategy.

That's what the Boards tell me.

kill participation doesn't matter. i agree, but elo hell does exist. especially when your at the mercy of people who refuse to push for towers.

Objectives>everything else AND knowing how to close out the game. I'm constantly getting teammates that try to avoid end fights because they'd rather split push or "go for baron".

Frankly it's quite annoying when you sit there and kill the strongest enemy opponent that could be anyone. Maybe your team is all AD and they have Rammus that you killed. Maybe their team has Kayn (blue) and that you've killed when all your teammates are squishy.

The other problem is being at the mercy of your teammates, when you feel you have a clear picture of what needs to be done next. If their inhibs are exposed and most of them are dead, why not get inhibs instead of baron? If their inhibs are down. Why not get baron? But no, you still have people that prefer to split push, clear more jungle champs for the $$$$$$$$$$$ and go for something stupid like a mountain drake after you'be pretty much cleared all structures.

follow teammates around? Well yeah sure, but there's always going to be that one straggler that will go push bot or clear jungle camps when it's time to team fight and win the game.

did you make this post just to jerk yourself off over a win rate in gold?

Have you played this Season and end of last? MMR is a joke.

People still think everything is about KDA while they dive for a kill over a tower that doesn't respawn. LMFAO

I dunno, I picked up Kha'zix and had like a 40% win-rate, was hard-stuck. I then started playing Rammus and after some growing pains, I' now climbing quite steady at around 66%. I feel like Rammus has cured my Elo hell... Weird. But the game after picking up Rammus is legit so easy it's boring. I start not caring and still win, play with latency and still win.

Elo hell exists if you don't play the right people I guess. It was real for me with Kha'zix and vanished with Rammus.

Udyr is currently the #1 jungle and excels at taking objectives solo when your mush for brains team refuses to stop cowering inside of the fountain while your side has Baron buff. Someone who enjoys playing say...Nami, does not have that same power available to them.

Are you the dude who spammed Volibear for 400 games in high Diamond

Reaper Claws1/18/2019, 12:58:54 AM1 votes

You can't prove that elo hell is not a thing just by showing two op.gg accounts. Just because you did good doesn't mean everyone does, you are not the only league of legends player.

Ah yes, KDA doesn't win games. You should check out my master yi KDA. http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=I%20Follow%20Christ

Any regular person looking at that would think i deserve bronze for dying so much lmao

I mean, to be fair, jungler is one of the best soloQ role with midlane since a long time now. You can have a lot of agency and snowball a lead with just one teammate that has a lead or is fed.

Especially with Herald, in a game where people don't want to take tower or do pointless fight when people try to push the minion waves on the other side of the map, herald give a lot of agency to be able to solo punish bad mistake. And if you have a fed laner, gosh it become a big bromance (or sismance).

Blaxonec1/18/2019, 7:38:33 AM1 votes

The core of the game is to get objectives. Its easier to take objectives when you and your team are fed and thats why kill participation matters. Most of the time people forget that the targets are the towers. Like someone said in the comments the team forget to end the game. Most of the time I play blitz and when I land a good grab in late game about 80% of the time that means that we get a kill. If we kill a stronger opponent (fed one, or someone who is considered a threat in this game) that means that we can take down some turrets or take baron to take more turrets or force fight to wipe them out. My mind is blown sometimes when this happens and my team is like "NOW ITS THE TIME TO FARM CALMLY WITHOUT INTERRUPTING " and "LOL THE JUNGLE IS FULL LETS CLEAR IT". I am at plat 2-3 now and I wonder is this a thing in higher elo ? I remember in gold it was a standard.

5,000 people smurf to prove ELO hell doesn't exist (but really because they're wankers that can't handle a challenge) then claim Elo hell doesn't exist after massively imbalancing 50,000 games. Seems legit.
