Two problems I see; one, this removes an entire scalar ADCs and mADCs use for 2 seconds, which cripples their damage. Two, multiple effects show as critical strikes, such as Anivia's E on a chilled target, Karthus's Q on a single target, or any Sheen effect. That would have weird interactions with those skills likely.

These only apply "ability effects" from items I think.

In other words it does NOT apply on hit effects only ability effects!

way too much crit for as cheap an item that would be.

Thanks for reminding me! I added the price!

The item costs 150 more than Phantom Dancer, and offers 30% less AS for 5% more crit chance. The cost seems pretty balanced.

PD's passive and this items active are greeatly different.

2 seconds of no crits would turn carries like klista, jinx, trist, etc who rely on crit for dmg into free kills. could you imagine a draven not able to crit?

it might not seem liek much, but 2seconds in League is a long time.

True but this is why this item is unique and great! I'll lower it to the next auto attack! This will nerf the item majorly. <-- EDITED

I don't get the point

not only is it completely broken to have more than 50% crit chance on one item, but I don't even think Zeal needs more items. It has three great options already, each with a specific use case.

Nerfed it, and its not broken 30% less attack speed from Phantom Dancer, for 5% more crit. And costs 150 more gold. But nerfed it again, thanks for feedback! :)

No, thats not 5% more, thats 15% more. Even if its part of the active you have to consider it because people won't go in without it off cooldown.

Having 50% crit on one item is completely broken. There's a reason most champions stop after 50% crit - if you think about it from an "after X attacks I crit" perspective, 50% crit is "every other attack I crit" while 25% is every fourth and 100% is every attack. Thinking about it that way (even though its not how crit actually works its a good way to think about it since fights are so short in this game), having more than 50% crit but not 100% is inefficient while having 50% or just about 50% is perfect, which means that this item will be completely ignored by those who use IE and will be used by people who want to crit but can't afford enough build space to IE + PD - but that means this item is ludicrously slot efficient, yet not useful for lots of champions.

Even then the point still stands that Zeal doesn't need more upgrades.

well, no. thats not how it works. crit isnt going to be less effective the more you buy. its a damage multiplier and getting more than 50% will still be worth it.

and its not op, because it has a high crit value. we already had high crit items in the game and they werent a problem. most adc in fact get a lot more than 50% crit.

but imo its not really what we need. i think an ad/crit item without attack speed attached would be more interesting than one more with a crit/as combination.

most ADCs stop building crit after IE + PD; with a 1% crit rune, thats 51% crit.

Crit becomes a very ineffective buy once you get 50% (unless you are Ashe). The simple nature of trades between crit based ADCs is that trades post-IE last 3-5 autos meaning that considering crit in the context of "you will crit x times every 100 autos" does not apply, and the only reasonable way to consider crit is "after x autos I crit" - which means that after 50% (the every two autos breakpoint) it takes a whole other 50% (or at least 40%) crit to reach the "crit every auto" point - meaning crit is a bad buy after 50%.

and its not op, because it has a high crit value. we already had high crit items in the game and they werent a problem.

The only one being PD, which had 35%.

A 50% crit item would be broken, not on ADCs, but on a 1-3 damage item bruiser who autoattacks a lot and builds lots of AD, like a bruiser Yi. Its simply a too slot efficient item.

but imo its not really what we need. i think an ad/crit item without attack speed attached would be more interesting than one more with a crit/as combination.

Agreed. We don't need another Zeal upgrade.

Well, this is just in your point of view, obviously you aren't a fan a critical striking. But I still believe that this item would be great in the game. But once again I nerfed it once more.

I really want this item but true, yasuo will be a problem here.

i dont know. i cant feel the demacia in that item.

too much attack speed. this item would never make it into the game, as its only counter is the item itself. basically it would become mandatory rush on every adc, since it would basically guarantee an adc to win a duel against another one.

that being said, id rather want a item 3122 item on summoners rift. just a straight ad/crit item, that is not infinity edge.

the hatchet passive would be ideal for bruisers, since they dont usually stack much crit past ghostblade or triforce. and being able to crit about once every 3 seconds, means youre using the passive to full effectiveness. meaning adc dont get more out of it.

I can feel the demicia in the item, feeling "enlighted" with light and stuff. And I nerfed it again, thanks for the feedback tho! :) EDIT: Also, it wouldn't be the first item to buy, for it doesn't do tons of damage, its only attack speed and crits. The crits wont do a lot of damage without Infinity Edge. PLUS theres barely any attack speed compared to other attack speed items.

i dont know what exactly you nerfed, but im saying the item has a fundamental design flaw. being able to crit while disabling crit on your opponent will always make this item a must buy for adc, since it would guarantee them winning a direct fight.

this would only work if you removed the crit disable. such an active should rather go on a tank item.

imo just make it two separate items. an adc item with a short crit steroid and a tank item with a short duration active, that prevents the owner from getting crit during the duration. and honestly the wayadc look right now, we need the latter item more than the former.

All I know I want both of these on. I nerfed it once more, please read it slowly. P.S Nerfed to only disable of crits one auto attack. And nerfed more.
