"The Protective Flight" Azir Trick

Scenario! ^

Hey there, the names' CFood and today I'd just like to share a trick I've been using and would like to share!

Random skeptic stranger: "But why not just Ult them away?"

Me: That definitely would separate the fight, but just for a few seconds, and you risk not landing the initial cast of the Ult (Knockback)- this also would be somewhat predictable; but if you did the trick as you backed up, you'd most likely catch the enemy(s) off-guard, guaranteeing a couple knock-backs.

You'd also be risking your positioning within the fight that you are trying to separate if you'd just walk up and try to Ult them- buttttt with the trick, you'd be putting yourself (and your allies) in a much better spot due to the animation cancel that must be casted instantly after E+Qing.

How to do it? It's quite simple on paper, but it takes a bit getting used to. Timing is crucial to this trick. But heres how to do it! <3

PREPARATION: 1. Prepare and set up a solider. (W) 2. Walk back and bait your enemy(s) into a chase. 3. Then Q your solider(s) behind _the enemy (but make sure that you do not intercept with the enemy- (this will cancel your dash + Q.) 4. Wait until Q comes back up

ACTUAL TRICK ITSELF: TRICK: Quickly E to your solider(s)- and right as you're about to land to the solider(s), Q into a safe spot where you're away from the enemy team, then instantly press R in the direction of the enemies to push them away. (NOTE: Be sure to quickly_ move the mouse from the Q cast to the enemies, or else you'll accidentally pull the enemy team into yours or completely miss- as unfortunate this sounds, it's happened to me! T_____T)

Quick overview combo: W+ E (Position yourself in a way where you will not hit a enemy) +Q+R (Away from enemies.)

Final thoughts! I've been using this trick ever since I discovered it in a ranked game from the Azir bug patch (don't remember which patch they fixed the dash) and to be completely honest, I rarely land this, even as an Azir main (:p) butttt if you land this- my oooooh my~ it's the most rewarding combo ever. Just takes practice! Now goooo my Azir players and be birdos on the rift! <3
