About The New Gangplank
Okay, ladies and gentlemen. I enjoy the new Gangplank, his E feels rewarding but in my honest opinion it's too damn much. Let's look at his damage. His E has a 60% armor reduction quality to it and it deals as much damage + a flat amount as the basic attack that blows it up. His Q is still really strong and you can use it to light the barrels to deal massive amounts of damage in an AOE. Couple those two skills with an item, Last Whisper and I'm left with an interesting theory. Either it stacks additively with his E or it stacks multiplicitavely. The difference being if an enemy had 100 armor Additively it would make them have 5 armor. Multiplicitavely it would go from 100-40 and then 40-~26. Which is still flaberghastingly huge because if you build Gangplank with damage, you're doing up around 1k+ damage per Q if you have some items on you. Which at the aformentioned lessened armor, is essentially bloody true damage.. Which his passive is true damage and can reset... off of the massive damage barrels. So essentially you're dealing butt tons of damage on a relatively low cooldown on top of the butt tons of damage from your passive that you're resetting with even more damage. It has an up to 80% slow, which for a melee champion that's doing absolute massive amounts of damage already and has a speed boost from not just one but 2 abilities, is truly amazing. But the fun doesn't stop there. If you use your Q on a barrel and the barrel kills like... 10 minions You're getting around 80 extra gold plus the gold from 10 minions. You can use this ability for traps, escapes, trading in lane and farming like a madman. Like, these barrels are essentially Ravenous, Iceborn Gauntlet and last whipser but better... and they don't cost mana.
This brings me to his Ult... Holy Mother of God this thing. I like it better than the old one for certain, and the upgrades are really nice, but Death's Daughter... It gives true damage. More true damage.... on top of his true damage... on top of his amazing amount of armor pen...........It's silly.
His passive is really strong by itself, and to be fair I like it where it is. But his barrel is just TOO strong. When you can knock off one third of a tank's health in one shot, that's a bit too much.
