Skarner needs 1 minor QOL buff
A circle around his opponents that show how much time's left until he can apply his stun again.

I'll check it out when I get back to the office. Good suggestion Mighty King of Odarths!
thanks! :D ( for thinking about adding it not for suggestion)
=D Thank you a lot!!!
FeralPony pls look into this, it would make a lot of sense if Lee Sin was actually blind and felt tremors or something similar.
We want the blind monk
to be blind. Cause it seems that him tearing his eyes apart wasnt enough.
That, would help quite a bit. To be fair many champs have cd per target auto attack passives but his requires more set up than anyone else so letting him know who he should start building stacks on would be immensely helpful.
Skarner definitely does not need a buff, but what he needs is a QoL buff like this. I support 100% and would love this.
We need a thread to discuss QoL=/=buff, the terms are not interchangeable, it's one or the other.
nah this would help and is considered QoL. just about every other champion has it so.
This is a QOL buff. A buff is merely 'An effect that makes a gaming character stronger,' this is a buff since it improves his clarity and gameplay allowing players to know better when they should re engage etc. So it improves QOL and it also improves decision making thus making it a buff.
A good example of this is the wraith camp.
Quality of life helps a champion feel less clunky and more fluid to play. Simple explaination for simple you.
If you're not catching on...(yet)This buff helps skarner in a quality of life manner.
The hell does he have so many downvotes for? That was an entirely true statement
He's right, but he's implying that this change would be a buff and not a QoL which it is.
No, he's saying that it's a QoL and not a Buff. There is in fact a clear difference in those, and they aren't related.
Ok, I see what you're saying. The title says QoL buff. kk good point, no need for downvotes :)

That's the point of downvote system. You are wrong.
wut?
A buff is an improvement to a champion.
A QoL (buff) makes a champion nicer to play without straight up improving numbers.
Therefore calling it QoL buff is appropriate.
Who is Skarner?
This would be nice. As of right now playing
feels like a spam-fest with his Q. I'd like to at least know when it's to my benefit to use it on a target or not.
Umm, always? It's a low CD ability with low opportunity cost and medium-low damage. Think like Gnar's boomerang or Syndra's dark sphere.
yeah but when you have low mana, and I mean LOW MANA, its good to know when your q's are actually being useful for a stun, or if you should just use your W to hightail it out of there
Nice. Add in more damage on his Q. Buff it by 2-5 physical damage
This is a great idea!
It would be fun if skarner got buffed I think hes fun I might get him any tips
Run at the enemy, ult, run back to your team- spam Q as much as you can during this time period
run at enemy, get stunned on your way there and lose 50% hp, press r on adc, oops he has qss, run away, die.
actually this would help me a shit ton in teamfights so i can know if i can stun someone again when the 6 seconds are up.
OH SHIT! Team fights! Man what was I thinking. That's so true, you spam Q at someone, stun them, then back off and stop spamming Q because you can't stun them a second time. Gee what was I thinking...
It's obvious I fail to see in what situation you would ever need to know that information. If you hit someone with a stun while you're spamming Q are you going to stop spamming Q because you can't stun them for another 6 seconds? Would you hit Q once then hold your next Q until the exact moment Crystal Venom can be reapplied? That doesn't seem efficient to me.
Well, I would hit a second guy with the Q after I stunned the first guy, then go back to the first guy when I could stun him again. So, yes, it could be helpful.
You seem to be very against a change that should be done on a majority of champs. What makes you so against this change? It's not like it buffs him to OP status.

What makes you think I'm against it? I've repeatedly said the change is useless and I don't understand why you would want it.
This wouldn't do anything. This isn't very helpful

I think I've just backed you into a corner and you can't explain in what situation this would be useful. So all you're going to do is reiterate that it's useful without any meaningful supporting details.
Personally I think that Skarner needs much more than this. He felt so weak when I last played him since his buff.
Yeah like a jetpack or something thatd be cool
blackjack and hookers too
actually screw the blackjack
and the hookers ;)
oh you!
Zing!
Would be pretty awesome.
Recently bought him, and now he's the only champion I can actually jungle with wellish.
I made a thread a while ago about the same thing (can be seen here for red poster reference) and I believe skarner is in great need of it. I mean it's practically become a standard to have these kinds of indicators for champions with similar cooldowns. Riot pls pay attention to this, it's completely unfair to our favorite crystal scorpion pokemon to not have this kind of indicator when others do.
Another note, why can Yasuo's Windwall block Skarner's ult? I feel like that's pretty damn stupid
I have to say that would be totally unnecessary. You should be spamming Q regardless of the stun since it does so much damage. The slow on his E is what needs buffed. Either increase the slow or the duration.
I'm surprised there hasn't been an update to standardize effects like these. Giving
an indicator would help him out just by putting him up to par with every other champion who has a per-target cooldown, and there are lots of other QoL changes, like visual indicators on tethers and range-dependent activations, that are implemented on some champions but not others. Updating these wouldn't even be buffing/nerfing the affected champions so much as adding clarity, and it doesn't seem as difficult as a lot of other changes that recently went through (the bug fix on
's ult against inhibitors, for example), so standardizing these effects sounds like a free win.
wait people actually play scarner?
Yep, I reach the Platinium ELO with Skarner ;)
cool but i literally never see people use him
:)

He needs a lot more than this. Maybe a loss of the first weak hit of his Q.
Shouldn't this just become a standard on any champion with time based skills? The first thing that comes to mind is Jarvan IV's passive.
**On-Target Cooldown: 10 / 8 / 6 **
Jarvan IV's first basic attack on a target deals 10% of their current health as bonus physical damage (caps at 400 damage). This effect cannot occur on the same target more than once every few seconds
We might need a custom indicator just because of the passive particles, since the fully stacked passive is also a circle, which could get confusing, especially in large fights. Ofc, you might be able to get around that by simply using a different color.
I'd hate to be the guy that's in a large teamfight and flashes onto a carry I was previously on to get the passive proc, only to realize that what I thought was a fully stacked passive was just the cooldown remaining on it.
