it seems like she doesnt have a middle ground with how her kit works, its either really good or really bad due to the stat based kit. since all she brings to the team is dmg she is required to have high dmg but that the problem right there. ball of stat champs just dont seem to work. a rework i would think is needed sorry to all the shyvana lovers but it needs to happen.

Serevas1 votesHer real issue is that she works best with on hit builds and as a jungler for obvious reasons. Sated Devourer is a horrible item, and it's added effects work too well with Shyvana because she works best with on hit effects.
On hit effect champion + extra free on hit effect procs = OP
The interesting thing is that the warrior item is perfectly viable on her if you make a half AD crit build for her it's pretty powerful because she double crits on Q and has AD ratios everywhere. So she'd be less oppressive, but still viable if Devourer was removed from the game, just like just about every other champion that uses the item.
Magnum Mack1 votesThe idea behind devourer I guess was that it took you out of the fight to go and power farm for a while, sacrificing lane presence for a huge payoff, but it's just not keeping things balanced anymore. Devourer, Rageblade and these hyper-hybrid builds don't need to exist. I dare say I could use rageblade and runnaan's on jinx with her rockets to devastating effect if I really tried.
Serevas1 votesYou certainly could, the items in general are out of control. You could build tank on just about anything and do well.
There's a high elo player and streamer named Valkrin, who did it just to prove a point recently. Tank LeBlanc to finish 7/1/15, Tank Talon to finish 8/4/12, and Tank Fizz to finish 12/1/4. When I say tank I mean tank, the only "damage items" he ever build were Banner of command, Iceborn Gauntlet, and Abyssal Scepter. He also plays things like Tank Katarina with Abyssal Scepter and Rylai's.
It's kind of depressing if you think about it.
OurLestrade1 votesI think her mechanics are fine for an easy to pick up champion. With all these paragraph long skills and junk that we get nowadays it's good to keep a few simple ones. She'll be buffed and nerfed every now and then like most champions.
skyfall6191 votesagreed but at the same time you gotta except that her kit is what holds her down since she is a stat based champ she will always have problem with items being too good on her. i think its best to just get her out of the never ending cycle that she is in now.
