A question about Jax's counter strike

Hey I just went against a Garen top and Jax's counterstrike appeared to not stun Garen at all when it landed. The Garen had merc treads so I was wondering if the tenacity is enough to practically negate the 1 second counter strike stun. It was extremely frustrating to use my e and Garen just completely ignore the stun as if he had mercurial scimitar, so I was wondering if this is a bug or just a thing in the game? Cause if so then I will always pick Garen into Jax lol.

Do you mean his spin? Stunning Garen during his spin doesn't stop him (at least I'm pretty sure it doesn't)

Try it again in a custom game

Nope; stuns don't stop Garen from doing his spin. It's a continuous effect like Wukong's, so they could be under the effect of a bard ult and still be spinning.

I don't mean his spin I mean Garen is just walking away from me, my stun lands deals some damage but doesn't actually seem to stop him from walking.
