Ranked matchmaking is a total joke.

Anyone that thinks the way this game balances matchmaking is "fair" is delusional. What about being matched with people that are clearly worse at the game than me, but matching me against people that are better than them all, fair? Every game I lose now is because my team is horrible, feeds, trolls, ints or afks. I'm no longer taking any responsibility for losing games because they simply aren't my fault. How am I expected to climb if EVERY GAME I have teammates that either don't give a shit, don't know how to play, or don't want to play? You really think that blaming myself will magically make games winnable? You really believe that this matchmaking is fair? This is a total fucking joke. I'm tired of playing knowing I will lose, regardless of how I play. I don't know what hell I inflicted on people over these years to deserve this, but this just feels fucking cruel.

Anyone that defends this and says I "deserve this" is completely fucking unworthy of responding to.

Looking at your op.gg I hate to say it but your problem is not your team. You have what I like to call nasus mentality. Your kill participations are almost always under 50% but your farm is high. If you wanna carry you have to be more active around the map even if it means you miss some cs especially when your really fed or really behind. If your fed use that power to lane swap with a struggling lane and go crush them to alleviate the pressure off them. If your really behind you need to roam and try and gank other lanes usually mid since your a top laner or if you know your stronger than the jungler invade him and fight him as long as you know where the rest of the enemy team is at. Be more active around the map especially if your playing someone like gnar as your ult can be a huge fight turner. You can look at my op.gg even if I'm feeding or my lane is losing I still roam and try to make plays and help other people get ahead even if it means fuckign myself over and dying to give my mid laner 2 kills. I try to keep at least over 50% kill participation in my games even thought it isn't always successful. I'm not the best player so i cant give you super indepth guides into improving as I'm only bronze 3 myself this season dropping from silver in season 6 due to some very unfortunate placements which were my fault as i fed my ass off in most of those games so i stopped playing ranked near the beginning of the season 7. Ive been grinding normals trying to improve my overall skills before i attempt ranked again next season. RIght now my biggest flaw is warding as i tend not to ward enough which is why I'm moving to the support role since one of my main goals is vision control. I have bad games too but i don't always blame my teams unless its cleary them doing something that they shouldn't be doing. Watching replays can really help you see things u might have missed in games and help you try to improve. Sorry for the lengthy reply but hope it helps.

It didnt take me much, i copied from threads of all the other low elo players who claim they are better than everyone in that elo but their teammates are holding them back.

What is there to add? You are matched with and against people of your own skill. Whether u accept it or not, its your problem.

That is not entirely true, especially if u go ahead and switch between ranked modes, 3v3 & 5v5, u'll see bronze ppl getting matched up against plat players and so on, but u would get matched with ppl in ur skill range most of the time

Its not coincidence. Its called low ELO. Those players are in low ELO because they play horribly. Your opponents are mostly as bad as your teammates. If you were better player you would tip scales in your favor and keep positive winrate.

annnd there u have some of ur problem, last i checked this is a team game, and most of what happends throughout a game to game basis, is team actions that help u go about winning games, if u don't wanna help ur team, then its not weird u have a higher loss ratio aswell

I can't fucking wait to prove you both wrong. Next time I'm on the game, I won't even bother farming, since apparently, it isn't important. I will just CONSTANTLY help my teammates, whether or not they actually need it. I will still lose more games than I win. Maybe when that happens, you will at least consider the possibility that you are wrong.

They never said farming isn't important, they always tell you to balance between farming and helping your teammates. I feel like you're twisting what they say to "prove" them wrong.

Well if they are inting ,then you dont know their skill do you? It might be diamond skilled player or even challenger just inting to stay in low elo. Yes, you win your lane, with Gnar. And you build almost every game full offensive items. And then when late game comes, no matter how fed u are u just get blasted. Last game u lost lane to Garen for example. 1v1. Even tho you counter Garen hard. Yes, your farm is good, but thats all you got going. You, as top laner always buy sweeper early not providing any vision around map. And no, not every bot lane u got is losing. Game where u ended 6:4 and barely contributed anything in game, you had MF with 20:4 who carried game. Game before that Ezreal was best in your team. And game before that your bot lane was good but your Yasuo was bad. Then game before that your Vayne was good, and before that MF was great. So no, not every bot lane u have is bad.

Its simple, games that you lose you arent doing much anyway, and games u are winning you barely contribute to win.

Don't bother anymore. I took a look at his op.gg out of curiosity and saw pretty much the same thing.

This is a case of someone who doesn't want to admit he is as much at fault for his losses as his team mates.

At this point, I doubt they will fix the matchmaking system. It's intentionally unbalanced and forces losses on win streaks by matching you will feeders/afks. Then when you finally get to promos, they make you autofill when need the next win to advance. Classic.

I don't GET to make it to promos. Any lp I earn is immediately lost 2-3 games later. I'm not taking responsibility for inting teammates, afkers and trollers. THEY are the reason I lose more than I win.

You are sort of right that it ends win streaks by design but not the way you say. Any skill based matchmaking system will ALWAYS push you to 50%. If you win - especially in streak, your rising MMR will eventually put against people you can't beat. If you are losing, it will drop until you are one of the stronger players and can carry a weaker team.

If it doesn't do that it is not skill based or doesn't work.

It is pretty broken. Rarely do I have close games. Either my team wins hard or the other team wins hard. Literally just had a 1/11 mid Viktor on my team vs a 20something/low Kat. The matchmaking is a joke which causes a lot of toxicity in this game. Not that I am excusing me being rude to a player, but ya, wtf why am I paired with such garbage?

No, according to these other people, that Viktor is as good, maybe even better, than you. He just had a "bad game." Funny how all my games seem to have players having these so called "bad games." I wonder if that 4 and 17 Zoe is actually a better player than me.

farming is important, so is how much u help out, there is a balance in how much u do that is good and what is bad, too much farming neglecting team mates is bad, too much "help" can also be more of a pain or simply just mean u're in the way of things, and ofc those players can be worse than u, but why are u only putting ur focus on that they absolutely have to be a worse player than u are?

Nope, farming isn't important. Didn't you read what badass up here said? Farming is for chumps, and winning is only possible if you help your teammates. So I'm no longer going to try to farm well, because it's worthless. I will just help my teammates at every point in the game I can. There is no "balance" with you people; it's all or nothing, so I'm going ALL in on helping my teammates just to prove you wrong. I know how this game works, but I'm going to go ahead and forget everything and start using all of your peoples' shitty advice.

u're saying its all or nothing, we never said that, that person above said what u did was getting a good amount of CS, it was never implied that u should stop farming and only focus on helping team mates, but rather that u should chill on the farming a bit and also give a little bit of ur focus on the team

No, it was CLEARLY implied that I shouldn't farm. Instead of aiming for 75-80 at 10 minutes, I won't be bothered if I only have 30, as long as I've helped my team by then. :)
