I am not gold. I am not diamond. I am silver. There is a reason I am silver. That is an adequate level for my degree of skill.
I have lost six ranked games in a row because this game's dumb matchmaking seems to think mixing gold, diamond, and silver is a great idea. Kind of defeats the purpose of MATCHmaking, doesn't it?
This game would be much, MUCH more fun if I were placed against people at my same level.

Also I have been hearing a lot that the current ranked system is all messed up atm so can't comment on that. Are you people you are playing against people who are ACTUALLY in a Gold/Diamond Division or do they just have the border?

Hinro Honato5 votesGet bad ya non-scrub. I have the same problem in normals instead of ranked. No diamonds that I know of yet but quite a few plats and golds. Those games can be incredibly painful.

Ignore your tier as that's just a bad approximation of your mmr, which is all that really matters.

EmmZeeAy1 votesIt's just your MMR is really high. No need to fret over it. I'm currently in Silver 1, but I was in gold last season so I am currently getting matched against mostly plats from last season/this season and getting a wealthy sum of LP per win.

Get Rekkkt1 votesproblem is you can only place plat 1 at highest (even if you were in challenger) so pretty much rank looks like this since start of season
plat=challenger/high diamonds gold=low diamonds/high plats silver=low plats/high golds bronze=everyone else (ontop of the fact that you can win 10/10 placements and you will still drop in mmr...same for challenger etc no matter how many wins/losses they will end up plat 1)
once season starts really kicking it will even back out...but its a mess right now in every tier lol
Noctem Aeternum1 votesyeah the whole ranked reset was a joke. an example being a leveled up my alt account to 30 just before the end of last season and went 5-5 for the placement match and got placed in silver 1 (which 5-5 sucks badly so I was surprised)

silver 5 from gold 5..
riots system is so weird. just get used to it. way too many flaws in this game
