Aatrox buffs

I know the Aatrox rework is coming, but probably not for another couple months by my guess. currently on PBE, here are the changes:

Base AD increased from 68 to 70 Dark Flight (Q) damage increased from 10/35/60/95/120 to 20/50/80/110/140 Blades of Torment (E) damage increased from 75/115/155/195/235 to 80/120/160/200/240

I think these are nice, and hopefully help him contend a bit more, but the problem is still bramble vest completely removes his play ability. He is lane focused and unlike Fiora with percent-health TD, he has nothing to use a lane with a bramble user. I would suggest a increase in his basic attack range, and maybe a shift of his E to like 50% total AD or maybe a increase in his W heal to 10% missing health. The ratio shift would help out his tank bruiser build feel better to play like they tried to do with his initial rework and the heal increase would hopefully off-set brambles power a little. I would pref just bramble being nerfed in the grievous wounds department period, but I like that Fiora and Darius feel definitely less oppressive.

My suggested changes:

  • fix the sword modal in ult so it extends long enough to actually look like it hits you.

  • increase the attack range to 175, and reduce the ult range increase by 25.
  • increase base heal to 10% missing health from 6.5%
  • made unstoppable during the entire Q channel, instead of just on descent (0.6 from 0.3).

Possible rework discussion (for fun): I personally miss the old Sion way of drain tanking people, and always felt that is what Aatrox should be. A dark god of War that leads the charge in and then stays in the fight till its done. With these changes he would hopefully be like the way I described above, with a dominate lane presence, but only if he is allowed stay fighting. Just like Jax or Fiora, he should feared when he is in your face, just with less burst and more survivability.

  1. Same changes as above.
  2. Make the Hellbent proc on attacking literally anything, like minions or jungle camps or turrets, this so he can Jungle and pressure better top lane if he properly plays around waves.
  3. Blades of Torment would no longer cost any health and Blood Price would now cost 30 health per proc (the proc is free if Aatrox is at or below 30% health). It called Blood Price after all...
  4. During the Massacre(R) duration: Blood Thirst and Blood Price are proc'd every auto, alternating between the two, as well as healing near by allies for 50 / 75 / 100% of the heal from Blood Thirst, and 25 / 37.5 / 50% of the bonus physical damage dealt from Blood Price.

Make Aatrox "unstoppable" during his Q.. that would help imo, also a CD buff to it wouldnt hurt.

Bramble Vest got nerfed too.

Although I agree that the Grievous Wounds mechanic hurts him more than its intended target.
