Wukong Discussion.

So I played a bit of Wukong today, just to try him out. I played one in top, mid, and then jungle. I did well in all the game, but it felt more just me going for cheesy burst and hoping I didn't die during my ult in team fights even if I was ahead. I was thinking about this identity and how to not change Wukong's style to much and help him succeed more in what he want to do.

Proposed changes:

  • New passive: Master of the Wuju - Gain 30 / 40 / 50% bonus attack speed for 4 seconds after hitting an enemy champion with an ability.

  • Wukong's Q(Crushing Blow) now deals the bonus damage to all near by enemies in a 225 radius of the main target.

  • Wukong's E(Nimbus Strike) would no longer grant the bonus attack speed with that being shifted to the passive. Also, the damage is now 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 (+ 30% bonus AD) per clone, and then if less then 3 enemies are near by when cast, the damage would either double on the main target or triple if they are alone, for a total possible 75 / 120 / 165 / 210 / 255 (+ 90% bonus AD) on one target.

  • Lastly, I would make his R(Cyclone) now act like Jax's E(Counterstrike) for the duration, causing all basic attacks against Wukong to miss. Wukong also takes 25% reduced damage from all area of effect abilities for the duration.

Wukong is actually pretty decent. He’s a great top, mid, and jungle right now. I do think his auto attack animations could be improved.

What is the counterplay to his ult? Besides just CC'ing him like any other champion
