I’ve seen a lot of games where someone is duo-qing with a friend who might be a low level 20, and a level 30 (who I’ve seen silver and gold ranked). The rest of us are low level 20’s
The masteries and runes alone make the game unbalanced. Just about every game like this results in a fed level 30. Just not fun.
Please make matchmaking bring the low level 20 Duo-Qer into a level 30’s game, NOT the other way around.

and yeah, runes and masteries really do imbalance the game sometimes, masteries less so but they make an impact, for example, a full rune page can give a champ 20 armor and magic resist greater than that same champ on the opponent's team, making a large impact on the damage they deal and the damage they take compared to one another
I think experience runes hurt too. I've seen a champ wander out of lane and come back 2 levels higher than they were before, making it where the lane just can't keep up
This has happened to a lot of games over the weekend. It is just as not fun having the level 30 on my team, because he will take away all the challenge of winning -- it makes for a very boring game.
Idk when I queued with my level 6 friend awhile back he fed miserably because all he had was ghost heal and everyone in the game was running flash ignite, some with a few t3 runes.
I won lane pretty damn hard of course, but the smurf he was laning against beat the crap out of him just as hard as I won so it ended up offsetting for the most part since runes only amount to about 1k in gold.
I can't really think of a better way for Riot to set up the matchmaking for duoing with a level 30 like this. Would you have a better suggestion?
One level 30 bully offsetting another level 30 bully still makes for a bad game for the rest of the low levels. If a level 30 and a low 20's want to group, then the consequence should be the level 20ish faces all level 30 players, not the level 30 going againstl level 20s.
It's not that bad... compared to a game where bronzes and silvers.... are against 3 diamonds, 1 plat, and 1 bronze >.<
