Killing someone when Support

I've noticed this happening about two games a day. ADC is gone to buy or afk for quick second. I'm Support and get attacked under turret and the turret helps kill them, Four other teammates lose their collective minds because "Support isn't supposed to take kill". This is my first year really doing ranked 5's and I am 3rd Bronze but really? Even if ADC is using the bathroom and they jump me under turret I'm not supposed to kill them?

Other times I'll be dropping a ward and find their jungler super low on health. My adc is in lane farming and won't be able to come to river in time and I hook him (thresh) than flay him, He dies and my team goes into seizures with how wrong it is. So Do I just.... let those guys live? and that helps the teams overall goal how?

Yes, yes I know. You've all had supports who went nid and built that big ole 1250 magic rod first and last hit everyone with her spear. I'm not talking about outright taking a kill with my ADC popping his ult and missing that last hit.

I'm talking about me, alone at turret and just not picking up free cash where is the logic in this?

No, it's something I like to call #BronzeLogic... the ridiculous "support can't ever get kills" attitude starts to fall off at Gold+ elo (or smarter Silvers). Just ignore them. If the enemy escaped, you would get bitched at for letting them get away. If you died under turret, they'd call you a feeder. There is no logic.

I think the players are too kill focused because they are terrible at farming. They treat kills on the same level of CS. Even though collecting CS is often safer and more reliable. Yet my ADC still finds time to complain about KSing, completely ignorant to the fact that he was able to farm in peace without stealing CS, all while I zoned the Enemy ADC of there's.

Still, they really have no right to complain if you Solo the enemy while they are still on the fountain. I just think they are just butthurt because they are not in a position to carry. (Again, because they have been doing poor at CSing.)

A secured kill is better than no kill at all. Sometimes anyway.

There is no logic in it. In my opinion, a kill's a kill. They're dead, so it's a win. As long as you leave the cs alone, I say kills are free game, within reason.

In the case you are describing you are right to do what you do. As a support main i once got a double kill under my tower as Alistar while my adc was in base. Instead of flamming me though my teammates all cheered and laughed in /all chat

Thats different than when Lulu steals the kill during an all in Draven item 3070

I don't like to use the word, but it's entitlement. Everyone feels entitled to have all the kills, and no one else should get any. Of course, the support has to live with that mindset that they will likely not get any kills, and any kills they get are accused of being stolen.

I had one game where, as Support Karma, I got jumped in mid lane as we were pushing it by three enemies. Zed was right next to me watching the whole thing, waiting for the opportune moment to jump in (read: after I die). But I didn't die, and somehow managed to fight them off AND score a triple kill. Zed jumped in only when he realized that I wasn't going to die, and then started SCREAMING at me that I stole all of his kills, even though he only got one assist, I was the only target and he was more than willing to let me die in that fight.

As an ADC main, I never care about supports getting kills. It's a shame, yeah, I coulda had more gold, especially if the jungler ganks and we only get 75g each and the supp gets 300. But it still creates a clear level advantage for next time, as well as me gaining ~200 gold in CS alone while they're dead, so I still have an advantage over them, just not as big as it could have been. And with that XP/item bonus, we should then either be able to zone them off the farm because we're that much stronger, or outright pick up more kills, so it doesn't really matter to me.

Haven't been even silver for years but whenever someone calls KS I just say "kill secured" and mute them.

The question is always this:

Would you rather get a kill? Or would you rather win the game?

If you would rather get the kill I can oblige. I'll just use zero damaging skills and never autoattack. That's not intent feeding, that's doing exactly what you say: not kill stealing. If that results in a loss? You said you'd rather have kills than a win.
