Top lane meta and balancing: Since the LCS playing field is the only real thing we can use to base things off since its a fair 5v5 arena where the best go to battle I bring you the top lane meta. Since the release of CoC or "courage of the colossus" the top lane meta has been nothing but the same top laners since the 5 ban system is mostly focused on the most OP mid, jungle and ADC's or supports top is almost always at free reign (unless its camille, because shes camille). Poppy, Nautilus, and Maokai, and Shen have been the only things really seen which is understandable because there is no reason to pick anything these champs are not mechanically intensive and only really need you to focus on the game rather than if you can pull off some tricky combo or animation cancel or make a play. Since the top lane is seperated into 3 categories roughly being carries, hybrid, and tank. The current issue is that there is no reason to play anything else carries being things like gangplank, tryndamere, and yasuo which normally go glass cannon and split or sometimes team fight are to easily abused In team play and even sometimes solo q because everyone has the mentality to camp them in hopes of making them AFK rage quit or end up doing less damage then your soraka, this is some of the stuff taught to us from the beginning of our climbs. Hybrid while being more tanky and less damage have the same issue though the have the potential to get behind still and are still risk picks in team play thats why strong hybrids like fiora are rarely played. Tanks which are ment to bring more utilities than both other classess but little to no damge are just better than both right now. Tanks while being an extremely safe picks are bringing up HUGE numbers on damage graphs which isnt supposed to be happening the skill of playing tanks is supposed to be found in the fact you have lack of damage so your engagement and peel and overal shotcalling is what is supposed to be called on you a little more than other roles, but when tanks are dishing out big damage onto carries and hybrids while taking little to no damage from just having one cheap item (primarily sunfire cape or spirt visage). So these skills arent called out and now your have these huge utilitly champs with easy to use or straight up point and click cc dealing massive numbers there is no justification for picking anything BUT these tanks. It gets so bad that even tanks can solo ADC and Mid laners which im sure youve seen in your games. Im just saying if nothing is done to tank damage numbers and even the skill of their kits its going to call on massive class reworks and more work to fix I think CoC is as close as its going to be in sense of balance I personally think its down to the champions at this point. With tanks hitting spikes so early as well and armor pen being in such a wierd spot im not sure whats goong to happen but I know that if this season is going be about champ diversity right now were not getting it and alot needs to be changed I think riot buffing and nerfing of random champs needs to stop and some things needs attention so maybe getting pushed in for 20 minutes by caitlyn zyra will stop.

In editing: I found a link to riot update list and after the galio rework they plan on a tank class update but the could still make a small fix in the mean time
