League is suffering from a number of issues right now and it's clear the balance team is thinking hard about how to fix them while preserving what they've acheieved (turning tanks into actual tanks, making assasins more fair to play against minus duskblade, etc.) but I feel like one major issue really just can't be ignored at this point, and that is towers are too weak, full stop. I played against a Trundle yesterday as Sion and it actually wasn't too hard because I could always kite him out with abilities and out sustain him in fights with Soul Furnace, but the real kicker is when he shoved lane back to me after I roamed bot and took tower around the 10 min mark. He was not fed, he didn't have a complete item, and in fact was actually behind in CS but because of his W he knocked tower down before anyone could respond and this was the whole game. I say this seriously right now that you have to buff towers and refrain from adding the new Demolish rune. It's unneeded with the amount of tower taking power item 3078 and any other item 3057, lethality, AD item, or pushing abilities/passives currently provide.

What I suggest be done is first, remove the armor reduction when minions crash into a tower. This is wholly unnecessary and only serves to help the enemy team that's snowballing snowball more with the autopush mechanic minions have, most notably in bot lane currently. Make magic penetration and lethality no longer apply to turrets, again, if you want to take towers, buy a item 3057 item. Bring back laser turrets, they served to do more consistent damage so that tanks had to meter themselves in dives a little bit more. Increase the turret armor and magic resist by 50% and increase this number if towers are still taken before 15 minutes with ample response given to those pushing them.

If you have anything to contribute, please do, League of Legends has my favorite playable character design and it's disheartening to see it in such a broken state. I want to have fun with it again.

EDIT:I should mention that in addition to sheen items there exists the item 3512 that serves as a pushing item for tanks.

Community Balance Suggestions: Critmaster Garen-Add 30%-50% more health to towers.

Kaeblen and Axon Rider:Turrets need more damage against champions, make dives something scary to consider.

I think Riot missed their point with making objectives in general much easier to take. If i recall correctly it was not only ment to make games shorter, but make professional games more interesting to watch. I guess their logic was; easier objectives -> more action.

But it feels the exact opposite happened; teams are to afraid to fight, because if they lose, even if only 1 or 2 members die, you will lose several objectives. Games barely get to double digit kills anymore, as they just dance around each other. First bloods happening 10/12+ min in games regularly, which feels wrong.

Honestly I think they should try the opposite direction next season; Much harder objectives that really require a member advantage to take down properly. It might make teams fight each other more, as kills are required to take objectives, and at the same time losing a fight doesn't automatically mean you lose several objectives.

I don't know if it would make the game better, but these extremely easy objectives are just frustrating. Some junglers can literally solo dragon at level 4/5, and dying to a gank can mean you lose your turret.

League is NOT cool when shorter. I play this game for diverse picks to choose from, long games where I get to scale, or snowball IF DONE RIGHT. Now every game is a snowball, they made virtually useless runes like gathering storm because in every pbe match I've played I haven't seen it take effect past 20-30 minutes once. All scaling runes are going to be pretty risk with little reward just because of how short games are. Watch riot make them scale faster too, instead of do what we want:

STRONGER TURRETS, STRONGER OBJECTIVES. FUN GAME. The one thing I really want in league is variety and longer matches, I don't care if something is meta as long the game isn't condensed super fast shit like it is right now. I said before but just finish clash if you want games to be LCS, I want to play my soloq main and favorite champ, yorick, and actually have fun with it. Making games shorter has actually had an awful impact on league and there is no way to make league fast while being more fun. Pretty sure most players want fast games to be based on actual skilled stomps and leads instead of ANY lead at all.

I would say the demolition rune is 100% necessary, to make adc less vital for sieging.

Also, the armor reduction while minions are nearby is serving an important purpose: Prevent champions from taking tower without a minion wave present. Think of it less as an armor loss while they are present, and more as an armor gain while they are absent. Without this, a snowballing team would likely be more inclined to tank tower shots to knock down enemy towers before the enemy team can respond. The armor boost while minions are away forces enemies to wait.

That said, I agree that towers could use a hp boost, and also a damage boost vs champions.

While I would like to see Riot slow the game down a bit, and I do think towers are a bit weak... I don't know that that is to blame ofr what happened in your game.

I liked the laser turrets, I don't know why they removed them at all. They did things well.

If it's easier to defend it makes passive farming strategies too strong. The risk of pushing has to come with a reward.

It's kind of... dumb that you'd have to push even more waves into the tower to take it down. It would force the game into even more of a "force 5v5s to win" position than it already is.

Trundle has always been one of the better champs at destroying towers. He gets up to 80% AS at later ranks and his Q has like a 2 sec cooldown. Buffing towers alone isn't going to stop him.

Treat him the same way you would a Jax, Yi, or even a Wukong. You never leave any of these champs to just push lanes or they'll be at your nexus.

This is a rather poor example as Trundle has always been a great split pusher thanks to his Q and its auto reset (Aside from the period of time where they made it not trigger on turrets). I agree that towers go down too easily but you're using as an example a champ that's well known for this capability.

i do think it is a bit much that towers can be lost from full health from only one poorly timed recall (unless ofc the enemy team capitalizes REALLY well on it or it's past laning phase)

Towers dont feel like towers anymore. I feel like they are where they are to speed up games, but it ruins the immersion I have in league. Its a structure that I have to destroy. Buildings are supposed to be durable and stone is supposed to be hard to crumble, so when I see a tower melt in game it doesn't feel impactful or right anymore.

For example, the first time I played league was Season 5ish and I had watched my boyfriend play so my new player experience wasn't bad. I had knowledge and his help. I remember when he told me to NOT be in tower range without minions and proceed with caution in general especially when attacking them. One day I was testing what the range even was and almost died. That shit was scary. All he could say was I told you so. I realized how weak I was in comparison (At the beginning of the game) especially when the enemy could capitalize my mistakes with the tower and secure a kill . When the game progressed and I gained power, the tower unmoving and unyielding is what showed me how much power I gained and it felt good to finally be able to take it. It felt good to see my progress from lvl 1. Then the inner turrets were another beast with lasers.

Now when towers melt, there is nothing. Some people dont even bother getting the tower anymore, they just go in to kill the entire enemy team and leave to go get dragon or farm more or take everything and win. Hello 15 min, boring game, that has no achievements whatsoever (May as well be an ARAM). Towers used to be important! This used to be a strategic game where you had to secure objectives to win. Now its whoever can kill the most the fastest is the winner. Sure, some people like the PVP, but I liked the strategy involved. What is the purpose of all of the objectives anymore? Why not just throw all 10 players in a pit to kill each other instead?

Did you have successful Roam bot? Did you take tower and drag? Did you and/or teamates get kills? If yes on more than 1 then it was a good trade. If not then you probably shouldnt have roamed. You shifted your resources bot lane and left an objective undefended. Towers are objectives that need to be defended. What do you think was going to happen when you let an enemy get free hits on an undefended tower?

Yeah. But it's too funny dive under the 2 noxus turrets just to kill and ADC (on Garen), take the kill, and leaving with half HP. Too swag to care about...pff "turrets" :D
