Some Yasuo balancing ideas I've not seen suggrested.

OK, to start things off... I HATE Yasuo. Yes, I understand this is a common statement; Almost as common people defending him as the most "fun" champ in the game. I see him as an overloaded, Caster carry who is aloud to have multiple viable builds, and an extremely unfair amount of early game power while still scaling super hard late game. And the only reason massive steps haven't been taken with him is Riot fears fan rage.

The thing is, most people's idea off a fun champion is one that they win with. My "season in review" listed him as both my most killed, AND most killed by champ; With nearly 500 in both categories! When a champion is played THAT much, it should be a BIG warning bell. A champions major weakness should NEVER be that he's weak in the hands of un-skilled players!

As an admittedly bronze player, I'm just calling out his real issues as I see them in my games. Also, I'm not suggesting EVERYTHING I write should happen to him, but since there seems to be some genuine confusion on how to balance this guy, It' just to be taken as food for thought.

  1. Resource-less - It gets a little vexing to watch a Yas farm, poke and dodge constantly for several minutes, waiting for their opponent to go OOM. at witch point they can just keep spamming their kit and get more aggressive knowing that now they're opponent options have GREATLY dwindled while his have not...

While there has been prior discussions on giving him mana, and really this isn't the worst idea, An alternative to this would be charges. Make his Q and E function like Teemo shrooms or GP barrels in that he can build up a supply, but needs to cool his jets a bit if he wants to all in or actually deside if he wants to use these moves to farm or trade, rather then having no downside to using them as much as he wants.

  1. His passive shield - The other reason he can out last most opponents in lane... This thing is way to reliable and fast on the CD! Rather then removing it entirely or raising the CD; Why not move this ability over to his Windwall as a passive that scales with the ability rank? It makes sense thematicly and would reduce his early lane safety without compromising his late game carry potential. Correct me if I'm wrong but Riot has nerfed A LOT of "carry champions" early games specifically.

Lastly, It would be really nice to be able to see which minions he recently dashed to, No champ in lane should require that level of counter-mico-management. :/

Thoughts or suggestions?

Yes. Put an ammo system on his... sword stabs. :^)

I have some other suggrestions to make.

Make him scale entirely with AP including his autos. After all it has never been suggrested before. Or or! We could make it so after he hits anybody with a tank tag 3 times with his Katana it bends and becomes malformed because his iron folding(originally invented by the early celtic cultures) wasn't mystical enough, and was beaten by western steal that replaced folding iron chips. Thus he loses 25% AD until he backs due to his fat, heavy sword being busted. That has never been suggrested before either.

Wall should have a massive duration reduction. It should be an outplay tool, not a zoning tool.

His dashes should be toned down in some way, the mobility is totally ridiculous. It makes it so you can't fight him in your own minion wave WHICH IS THE ONLY PLACE YOU CAN FIGHT A STRONGER LANER THAN YOURSELF IN THIS GAME.

Get rid of the magic positioning on his ult where it will always put him out of turret range if it's possible. Under tower should mean under tower for Yasuo's opponent but this "ooo we'll fudge the positioning in favor of Yasuo EVERY TIME" makes his ult an EZ-mode free kill. Make him need jungler support.

Just wanted to come through here and say that this post was actually from the days of Tanksuo.

We at Riot accidentally posted this again to the boards.

We apologize as this post is no longer relevant to the current state of Yasuo and his upcoming nerfs.
