"if you get close to malz, you deserve to get 100-0d with no counter play"

I guess if you walk to lane, you deserve to get 100-0d with LB as she blinks back with little counter play.

I guess if you walk to lane, you deserve to get poked by zed and then killed with little counterplay.

At least I can use my mobility or zhonyas against their kits, just not when I don't have an available option of a QSS for a supressive cancerous suppression as a mage.

Warwick Skarner (they're fine, just not the ult part if you can't make use of a QSS like an ad champ.)

Malzahar is an immobile mage who relies on DoTs to do damage. his burst is actually quite small. That being said malzahar is very much so anti-assassin; if you jump him, prepare to get heavily damaged for as long as his ult lasts.

Now, when malzahars rework hits live you WILL have a much easier time against him because he lost over 50% of his damage.

So what can I do as a non ad champ when I get ulted?

Probably ask yourself what you could have done to avoid getting ulted? Who are you playing? When I've played against Malz I've always known that if he killed me it was only because a) he flashed or b) I made a positional error. It's cheesy but I know my champion could have easily dealt with him if I'd been smarter.

Buy QSS but then I'd be down gold and an item slot that builds into nothing meaningful unless i'm AD. I'm guessing you're suggesting I never leave the fountain as i run the risk of getting ulted whenever I walk out.

I don't mean that. I mean that your champion has abilities that allow them to interact with Malzahar - what can they do, and how can they deal with him? For example, my main mid laner is Syndra. I can poke, slow and stun him without getting in his range. If I stun him then I can safely ult him and kill him before my stun runs out, denying him the opportunity to suppress me.

There's nothing you can do once Malz ults you outside of activating QSS or asking your allies for help, but you can interact with Malz before he ults you. You don't just have to spend the entire game doing your best to ignore him.

The easiest way to lane against a malzahar, is to play safe, simple as that. You can see when his spaceaids is going to leap, so play out of range and let it die out, then clear your minion wave. As for when he gets in range to ult you, This should not happen unless the Malzahar is receiving a gank and you are caught out, or you simply have bad positioning. Coming from a Malzahar main., there are a few tips on laning against him. BTW, If you can learn syndra, she does great against malzahar because she outranges him with her stun, w combo. Then walks up a little and presses R.

2.5. the pool lasts for 5 seconds but the supress only 2.5. Malzahar can no longer 'bait' assassins to jump him; he now NEEDS allies nearby and is REQUIRED to build AD because FOUR voidlings are weaker TWO pre-rework voidlings.

Malz has been gutted =/ they didnt need to nerf his E since they nerfed his ult into some psuedo support tank buster thing.

well keep saying that and malz wont get gutted any further.

his kit is retardedly OP right now

Not really. The only place he shines - ACTUALLY shines - is the jungle. but his ganks pre 6 are sup par and his scaling in general is REALLY shitty.

For starters, Malzahar is getting major changes in a little under 3 hours that dramatically hit his 100-0 potential.

OK, he can't 100-0 me, so what can I do when he ults me as a non ad champion?

Wait until it wears off and then hit him with your spells.

I'm not sure about that... Does leblanc needs change or you have to react to her jumpscare.

Most Mages are intended to die from being kind of close to any champion whatsoever, let alone Malz

If you're dying to Malz alot, work on your positioning.
