So about the new Soraka...

I've been playing the new Soraka Soraka and, although I wasn't sure about it before, I can safely say it does have a lot more outplay factor in it NOW than it did before. There is, however, one thing that made it really really difficult that I noticed.

The area in which she is able to heal people is painfully small. Her passive does help speed her up to get her to where she needs to go, but when that person is running or chasing someone it makes it even harder.

You're literally not that far from them and they're screaming "HEAL ME WHY DIDN'T YOU HEAL ME" and the only thing you can say is "well you aren't close enough" or "you didn't stop so I could heal you." There was something about the heal that bothered me and for a while I couldn't put my finger on it, but that was definitely it and I realized it.

The area to heal people in is very small. If it could be a buffed a little larger that would make it great.

I don't mind it being small, because the speed buff is insane enough you can get to them, but...since you have to be right there, you JUST put yourself in extreme danger, and ALSO are willingly losing health making it even worse. Maybe if healing someone else gave you some Armor/MR for putting yourself in danger, otherwise I agree the heal range should be larger. Can't even heal people over a wall unless they move to the wall knowing you're trying to heal over it.

I feel most of the time the speed buff is more for revenge than for help.

It only activates when the champ is already below 40%, So when I actually get in range it's often too late and I can only finish off their opponent, or die trying.

I agree. The heal range is probably one of the things that bothers me the most. I love the bonus movement speed, but after playing many games with the new soraka, I've found that I'm just slightly out of range to save the ally. And as Valkyrie Witch stated above, because of the range, you are in the middle of the fray while simultaneously chunking your own health.

I think if you are going to be insanely squishy, have no escapes, and deplete your own health to be an effective teammate, you deserve the right to do that from a safe distance.

I'm going to also add this (not sure it will be seen) while it feels like Soraka has a lot of outplay factor, I've found it means nothing early game to assassins. They'll still target a Soraka even when you put down the silence field. Soraka is fun to play but she can't even heal herself now without trying to spam her Q. I think it would be better if the area for her W was just a bit larger.

I think it also has to do with the fact that people who haven't played the new Soraka doesn't know the range decreased, which is just something people have to get used to.

W passive is really strong as well and I don't think Q is that hard to land(feels a bit like corki's Q). In a late game teamfight, if you can manage to hit two people everytime, it's a ~200 self heal every 3 seconds with max cdr.

The second stage of her E is a bit harder to land though, or maybe I'm playing it wrong.

Question to you guys, what's your skill order?
