To the silver/bronze/gold players that said climbing solo is impossible.

I decided to be bored and jump on my silver 4 smurf account and do in my honest opinion the hardest role to carry out of low elo with. ADC. Aside from a few jungle games here and there, and a support game because #autofill.

http://puu.sh/trABO/2c2e9847be.jpg I just finished getting gold like . . . 10mins ago.

^ The mmr to show that I wasn't even fighting silver/gold 5s to do my gold promo but in fact around . . . plat 3-2 players. For the next couple months you guys should know "gold/silver" doesn't really mean "gold/silver." The one loss was because I dodged a Jhin with a 0%winrate out of 40 games who was just running down mid. Not even worth playing. And well, here's my match history.

http://puu.sh/trAOS/8c52a18115.jpg

http://puu.sh/trAQM/a6fb603d35.jpg

Also to show I didn't "get curried."

http://puu.sh/trAUU/e762548bb2.png

I only played with one person twice, and it's because he ended up on the same team as me twice in a row.

I basically carried from silver 4 all the way to basically plat mmr on a silver account while fighting plat 3-2 players about when I hit silver 1. I usually screw around on low ranked accounts, but I'm personally tired of hearing silver players constantly blame their team for the reason they have 1,500 games in silver 3 mmr. Yeah, some of my games my team of monkeys didn't want to listen and we lost. Yeah, I had to give a step by step instructions on how to be a support player to basically every single support I came across because they were all . . . special A lot of them cried and raged, but ultimately shut up when they see me 1v9ing mid game.

To make matters worse, I was also nonstop 4-5 man dived because enemy teams start opgging me and seeing my sweet 80% winrate Jhin. So, I'd be ganked as early as level 2 by junglers just doing red buff and running at my lane.

With all that said. I carried all the way to basically plat 2 opponents as an adc from silver 4 SOLO with a pretty high winrate.

Now if you guys have actual questions for me on how to climb. I'll be more than happy to talk to you. But as far as I'm concerned I just proved all of those current complaints about ranked absolutely false in one of the hardest roles to climb with. And no, it's not support. Zyra is an auto win kind of champ for anyone with half a brain cell, even in challenger.

Are you trying to compare yourself on a smurf account saying that Silver is easy to get out of? lol stfu

2 things:

  1. You got at least a little bit lucky
  2. You're already much better than Silver. What next you gonna tell me that Doublelift doesn't have a problem getting out of silver?

This is completely different, between a higher elo player playing through lower elo ranks, and lower elo player trying to climb through their own ranks.

An adult doing middle school math is piss easy, but that doesn't mean it isn't a challenge for the kids who are still in the process of getting through it.

Same logic.

It's easy for you to climb through the ranks because you're already vastly superior than everybody else there, but the low elo's have to be just like you while the only people they see, practice with and take reference on is just as good/bad as them. The matter is obviously not as simplified as "look I can climb, easy pissy, why can't you?"

Do you climb whatever rank you currently belong to as easy as climbing through a rank vastly lower than yours? Of course not.

Much like some low elos throwing a couple of their bad matches to say that climbing is impossible, yours is nothing but a load of fallacy just like that.

As others have pointed out, this thread is old and dead. I'm going to lock it so that it may rest in peace. If you want to discuss this topic, start a new thread.

I think people have to actually feel bad to climb, like they have to get mad at themselves for sucking and playing like shit thus driving the impetus for improvement.

as a veteran of 800 bronze games in season 6 i can safely say that many bronze players do not appear to have a conscience or feel sadness otherwise they'd be out of bronze.

As a diamond 5 player I've had similar experiences smurfing in silver. I can play absolutely awful trash that I have no idea how to play and still have a hugely positive winrate simply because 90% of silver players have no idea how to lane and the remainder don't understand macro play or teamfight positioning. If you're in silver after 100 games without inting you're missing basic skills.

Can you coach me on getting diamond? :c

I agree with you. What this proves is that if you are better than your current rank, eventually, you will climb. If you stayed the same range of divisions for like 1000 games, maybe that's where you belong.

I can't accept that bronzies always get the troll bronzies on their team and the enemies get the smurf bronzies. And maybe it happens to one account, maybe two. Not half of bronze though. I also do something similar to you when I play on a smurf bronze 5 account. Even when playing new champions or generally champions I have low experience with, I always do well and win most of my games. I could try something like what you did and see how fast I can get to G5 using my main champions.

So yeah, people that deserve higher will get higher. If you can't climb out of bronze even after 500 games, then maybe you are not worth getting out of bronze. The funnier thing is that you point out all the mistakes that bronzies make, and then they either deny them as if what you're saying it true, or they just repeat it in the next game and call you a dik for pointing it out.

I've said numerous times, getting out of bronze isn't a matter of skill, but more of a "being smart" thing.

Hi friend. I have a question for you, so I'll explain my situation to you and you can help me.

I generally don't play a lot of ranked games. I prefer normals (normal draft), because they are less stressful, can try out new stuff etc, while ranked games seem like you need to tryhard and be 100% and this makes me tired after playing 2-3 games, especially if I lose those games. So, last season, I only played a small amount of ranked games (about 260 I believe, maybe even less), and I had a decent win rate, around 57%. I started at Silver 4 and ended in Gold 2. I never really faced the climbing problem. I was mostly playing when my friends were asking me to, and they are not that talented. They are around Bronze 2 up to SIlver 2, most of them, and that's their actual skill level, since I've seen their playstyle.

Even when I was playing with these friends, who again are not Fakers, they just don't troll around, I never had a problem climbing. Sure, the fact that it's premade and that they listen on the calls and they keep on trying even when the game seems lost, helps a lot, but still, I had to carry so many of those games. I mostly played Viktor at the start and started playing Graves top or jungle later on, because one of my premades only played Azir mid.

Now, after declaring that I never had serious problems climbing (and I could also just be a 1-trick Viktor and win even more games, I have like 65% win rate or something), one thing that I have the question over it this; when I see my team falling behind, generally being outclassed, like top being down in cs and kills and xp, same for bot and the jungle pressure is bigger from the enemy, what do I do? I rarely ever lost my lane as Viktor, most of the times I was ahead in cs, maybe even got a kill. So, when I'm in a situation where I seem to be the only hope to carry the game, since my team is already behind, but more importantly seems outclassed in terms of skill, how do I approach the situation?

Sometimes, what I do, and I believe that it costs me, is that I go for a risky play. For example, I'll try to kill my enemy laner to try and get a bigger lead and maybe push a tower or something, even though the chances of killing them are not the best, sometimes it might backfire. Or, I might just roam around bot lane to help out, and this either gets me killed, which then makes me lose any advantage I had, or at least it gives the enemy chance to catch back up if it doesn't work out.

Again, I do these things, not because I'm naive, but because something needs to happen to try and reverse what's going on, because just sitting in my lane farming up to late game, while my team is dying repeatedly ain't gonna help. So, my question to you is, what do I do in such situations? Probably, the response is "some games just can't be salvaged" and I understand that. Some games just can't be won. But if there is a slim opportunity, what do I do? Do I do the risky play, in hopes it turns out to be good and puts us back in the game, or do I just keep on doing the correct thing (like roaming only when the situation is good, instead of forcing it to get back in the game if it works out) and hope for some enemy mistake or somehow reach late game?

One example I can show you is this. I'm Viktor, vs Zed and I don't have my Exhaust up. Do I have to do the risky play and try to kill Zed and push the tower / extend my lead over him, even though I don't have Exhaust and might turn out with me dying instead, or should I just keep farming and try to pick on the correct opportunities? Under normal circumstances, I'd just play my lane regularly, poking him, waiting for my cooldowns etc, but if it's a losing-all-around map, how do I react?

I feel like I would be a higher rank if I didn't ganked so damned much. It so frustrating to be winning the 1v1 and to just get camped and not be able to do anything b/c the enemy jungler is always there to stop me. Cant even roam to other lanes. If the jungler doesn't come to my lane it's usually a easy win. I don't blame my team mates, I blame the enemy junglers; but I know I must be the problem if I'm getting camped multiple games in a row and losing my lead as a result. I just don't know how to deal this. warding at 2:30-3:00 doesn't help. Any suggestions?

I got out of Silver this season on Ranked Flex, got placed into Silver III in Solo/Duo and I'm almost out again, currently sitting at Silver I and gaining 25+ LP per win.

Here's the thing with silver: decision making is absolutely abysmal. After I focused on improving that, I started smashing games, even if I don't get out of control fed early game.

Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong currently in low silver. I kinda don't really play any role specifically, except maybe support. I think my issues comes from a slight lack of map awareness, in part because of a warding problem. And from there a bit of macro gameplay, plus my inability to exert meaningful wave control. Also if I'm not playing one of 3 top laners, I do have a bit of trouble farming, simply becuase I sometimes forget. I think mechanically for the most part I'm alright, my poor play come from a general in attention to the game itself, I get quite a bit bored if I'm not making plays, which is why I'm kinda turning into a support main, where my engages, skillshots, and setups I make win lane based almost off of that alone, plus vision, and the protection of the adc.

Hey guys, did you know winning the lottery is EASY? I can prove it, look I won the lottery. See? Easy.

Nobody cares how well you played. That has never been the argument for people trapped in low ELOs. You should take a screenshot of your teammate K/D/As and if in half of your games you don't have 1-2 lanes that are 0-8, then you did nothing impressive.

Youre joking right? ADC is the easiest role to smurf out of silver.

ADC Mid Jungle Top Support

Thats the order for easiest to hardest roles to play to rank up. Hell I am a Jayce Top Lane smurf, but even I know the only way to rank up is to play Jayce Adc which I do till I hit plat. I have 13 accounts in plat+ so I know how each elo works.

https://imgur.com/sprC4Y5

If ADC is so hard to smurf out of, why am I able to play Jayce ADC and win so easily lol. Thats like an ADC bringing Twitch top lane.

ADC is hard to carry in low elo? try support.
