As a guy who lov(ed) ARAM, just delete it Rito

I took a break from it because I figured I might as well get good at both SR and ARAM - only to come back for a bit, to find it a mess. Well, more than that. It's basically what everyone else HAS said about it but now I've come to believe it - unplayable.

These new champion reworks have basically made it so if you have these at least one of these three (or in some cases, all 3) douchebags as supports on your comp Soraka Taric Sona you automatically win. No matter who else is on the team. Blitzcrank isn't even good in ARAM if you can't hit your Q, and you know you're going to get minion blocked, because there's zero point to farming the creep wave unless you're Nasus, and even then, that's bad news for you having to be susan in ARAM and your stacks are only double digits 10 minutes in.

Not to mention, we still don't get a chance to ban champs so no one has to deal with them, and you still don't let items like item 3026 or item 3512 be built even though there's zero reason not to let them.

Either overhaul ARAM so there's SOME way to make the "randomized" selection able to not be the win condition (yes, winning at champ select exists in ARAM), or scrap it like you did (RIP) dominion.

I play a lot of aram and I rarely see Tarics or Sonas. Raka's heals are pretty much negligible early and mid game unless they're a really good Raka.

GA in ARAM would just be silly. Everyone would buy it.

You also complain about 5 out of 130 champions and use this as your argument that ARAM should be deleted. The whole point of ARAM is that you get random champions and yes, that is what decides who wins often because, aduh, all the champions have been picked randomly.

Youre complaining about nothing dude.

I could point out who's overpowered/toxic/just flat out annoying in ARAM but then I would have every one of those mains giving me grief saying "b-b-b-but I'm bad in SR"

ARAM was hot garbage to begin with because you are never guaranteed at least a decent comp to work with to fight back. It's always win or lose and rarely going even no mattered how skilled your team is. Some comps poke down others too much or have too many tanks while youre team is made up of a lot of supports or dont have any poke to work with at all.

ARAM is a waste of time unless you want to force yourself to learn random champions the hard way at a faster pace.

Aram is fun. That is my opinion.

I find that ARAM can help you practice team fighting (especially team fighting with a bad team fight comp) so there are good elements to take from every game even if the only thing you ultimately learn is that your comp was bad at team fighting.

^^ That's a good perspective. Though I do agree that balanced team comps are very much lacking. I mean, one game the enemy team had a Sona, Taric and Kayle - 3 champs w/ heals, 2 with pretty op AP abilities, and add that to Taric's stun lol... didn't go very well for us. There should be some kind of algorithm to the random champ assignment so that both teams have a relatively decent balance. But still, very fun game mode.

Ya...idk that there's needs to be this algorithm making things more equal...its the nature of the game.

Well, I'm not necessarily arguing for "equal" teams. That defeats the purpose of ARAM. But at the very least, would it not make sense for the matchmaking to have some parameters that would avoid certain extreme scenarios (i.e. 5 tanks vs 5 squishy assassins, or something like that lol). Otherwise, I like the random because it forces a lot of typically "off-meta" team comps

  1. Money is always good, even in ARAM. You should definitely be farming the waves with any carry champion as much as possible if you can, especially if the rest of your team for some reason isn't going for them.
  2. If you are playing Nasus in ARAM like you do in SR you are playing him wrong. You are suppose to play him AP maxing E first unless your team desperately needs a tank and there is no other suitable person, then you go AP bruiser. He is not top tier (drops off quickly late game) but he is no means the worse, he is a solid upper middle tier. His E HURTS early and mid game.

Soraka has like a 45% win rate in ARAM.
