Rethinking LP loss

So recently I had 2 ranked games in a row where people left the game. In one the person said they had to leave, in the second 2 people left the game, (I assume they were playing together). This resulted in me losing LP for both games and getting demoted down a devision. For each game I lost a full amount of lp. At this point I had been gaining about 18-19 per game and losing about the same for losses. I was also on a upwards winning streak. However for both of these games I lost 21 lp, and thus demoted.

Personally I don't think in these kind of scenarios that I or my team mates should lose a full amount of LP for something out of our control, except for the person who Intentionally left. Emphasis on intentionally.

I think it would be cool if Riot changed the system to be able catch this so people aren't punished for others causing a loss.

To bad they wont, because Riot doesn't really care for it's community all that much, just focusing on Champions, Updates, and content, which is fine but we have to suffer somewhere I guess.

I hate pulling off an S grade and still lose max LP cause of 1 or 2 mistakes made at the 30 min mark.. I agree something needs to be done and the AFKS or rage quitters.. maybe the rage quitters and afks can take extra LP lose and the rest of us take like half..

How do you propose to tell the difference between someone who intentionally leaves and someone who lost power due to a thunderstorm?

The amount of LP you lose in these stories is negligible and you should still be ranked where you belong. There is already the remake system whre if people leave early they can remake. But if somebody has to leave mid game for something, then they have to acknowledge their mistake, they made a commitment when tey pressed the accept button. There is arleady a leaver buster system in place where if it bcomes frequent enough they get banned. Thats the most you can hope for. I dont want people to start dodging in the middle of the game where they can essentailly leave and give their teammates back a bit of LP that they wouldve otherwise lost. It would be abused quickly. Youre just salty cuz of a one in two hundred kind of game. It has no real impact on your rank,
