You may be mildly confused, his old passive was the old reworked Ryze's passive but instead of every 5 casts he gets a shield and goes into machine gun mode, he was always in machine gun mode. And before that rework, OG Ryze's ultimate was that version if him's E, but it did a lot more damage and his E was literally Muramana toggle back when it still toggled.
