Saying GG _____ is actually pretty rude...

Now don't get me wrong you're allowed to be rude, it's not against the rules. It's just something I see more and more often.

When you say it you're generally pointing at one enemy and saying "If it weren't for you your team woulda lost because we're better than them" or "I'm better than everyone else here and if you hadn't stopped me..."

First off this is a team game, no one wins alone. Secondly it can be considered really rude to everyone else in the game and kind of a dick thing to say. On top of that you don't know the circumstances. Lose with some dignity.

I just got this game for example and someone (I wont say who so I don't have to bother blacking out names) said "GG Yi". First off Yasuo did more damage to our team with less gold, and fed our team less gold to top it off. Secondly he completely disregarded all other opponents and may or may not have known their situation. The Yi and Yasuo happened to both be much higher rating than others in the game. Also yeah their ADC didn't do great, not a whole lot of damage and had fallen behind on gold but I'm sorry 9/4/12 isn't bad for a bronze 3 surrounded by gold/high silver opponents no matter who is on their team considering the massive skill gap. I mean it's not like we did well against the high gold/platinum on their team.

IDK what MMR Lux was but 18 assists isn't bad, besides we were actively trying to feed off their bot lane while they tried to protect it. Heck even for the top lane Noc 5/5/14 is definitely a contribution, especially as a lane nocturne. It's a team game, they all contributed.

TL;DR No one has to be kind or nice, heck it's the internet we're all pretty used to this place being full of scum and villainy but it doesn't mean we shouldn't suck it up and lose with dignity or at least be nice.

People get so soft to the point where they get offended by "gg (insertChampHere)"

Not offended, pointing out that it's rude is all, some peoples parents don't teach them :).

Eh, as a support, I'm used to it. I will pretty much make all the plays bot and set up amazing kills and/or turn around ganks for my carries, yet all I see is "Great job Miss Fortune!" or "Way to make plays, Lucian!"

So alas, I've learned to not let it get to me. I just do my job, win the game and enjoy my wine in peace.

The worst is when you are Soraka, and the ADC takes well over 300% of their maximum health as damage, but you keep them alive by draining your own health, using your ult, and the heal summoner spell, and the enemy says "GJ Ashe!"

And even worse when you do all that and more, and you die because you drained so much health keeping them alive. Next thing you here is not only "GJ Ashe" but "Stahp feeding you noob Soraka!"

Pretty much sums up the support role in a nutshell xD when I played blitz I died a few times to save my fed ADC and prevent the enemy from getting the gold bonus.

And so you decide to do your banana Crit Queen build and see if they expect the Banana now. (Banana Crit Queen = Soraka item 3031 item 3087 item 3046 item 3142 item 3078 item 3006)

Wow. If you're offended by this...I feel bad for your parents.

It is not always rude. It can mean either A: You fought that same opponent several times, and they performed admirably during those times. or B: That person has been especially friendly, and you wish to recognize that they are a good player.

While true it's rarely the case and more the exception than the rule. In this case the guy saying it had the illusion that we were winning and the Yi came in and ruined it all. (at no point were we winning)

How is saying GG at the end of the game toxic? Most people say it.
