New player looking for hints/tips/tricks on this game. Good characters to pick up and learn. killing minions under a tower, Good bans for Draft pick or ranked when I make it that far..

Is it better to play early game or late game characters.. Is the risk of not snow balling while playing an early game character any worse then never making it to late game as a late game character?

I play every role but, I prefer Mid over all else. I want to main Ahri but, I play Ziggs, Darius, Amumu, Lux, Morgana, (Leona after i get the Essance), Rengar, I have Lucian, Miss fortune, I own Vayne but, Shes so hard to play.. I also have Ashe but, she doesn't seem that good? Or she gets Nommed by everything.. Mid lane burst mage.. PWND, Mid lane assassin, PWND.. Tank Jungle.. PWND.. AD assassin PWND.. AP assassin PWND.. I am awful at this game so, maybe I am doing something wrong?

Hence why I am asking questions.. uGu

The best thing you can do for any MOBA is join a Discord server where you can find people to play and chat with.

Here's the official League Discord server and here's a link to r/SummonerSchool, a Reddit where you can ask questions and get a lot of good responses.

Just as a general rule of thumb, it's a lot easier to learn one basic champion as you start to understand the fundamentals of the game. Learning the game is going to be a lot harder when you have to worry about game mechanics and what 10+ other champions can do.

Find someone you like, stick with them for a little bit, and then when you get comfortable with the game you should start expanding your champion pool.

Ahri is really difficult, because she doesn’t have much AoE and requires a deft hand to be very evasive rather than offensive.
