Why is full lp deducted when you lose a game due to an afk/rage quitter in your team? (after remake)

Have had a rage quitter/ afk in my last three games. Won one lost 2. It's ridiculous that I lose 40 lp because of variables unrelated to skill. One cannot carry a 4v5 every game in gold.

because you still get full LP when the afk/rage quitter is on the other team

and that shouldn't happen either.

you didn't show that you deserved a higher ranking by playing well, you won cuz of 4v5, so why should you get a full game worth of lp?
