"When I pick support in secondary it always gives me support!"

Well its no wonder, the matchmaker is desperate for any support player. Ive been playing support since season 3, and mained it since season 5 (that is to say I rarely/never played a different role). And its really no wonder that people dont want to play support in season 6, why? well let me tell you. Since the anti-snowball changes, most players would consider the mid laner or adc to have been "nerfed" in the way they can snowball and carry a game, but like most changes of this nature they hit support the hardest. As a support (especially in a tank meta) you can no longer outright win the game for your team regardless of what they do by doing well enough in lane as to allow yourself to roam to midlane and help that lane out as well and end up winning 2 lanes for your team. Where I could at one point boast an 86% win rate over 30 games as a blitzcrank because I could get my adc set up and then I could help my mid laner out as well. I can no longer do that anymore, hell i cant even leave bot lane anymore for fear of the enemy jungler/top laner simply walking in and taking out my adc under turret followed by the turret. I have had a 12 game loss streak in the past month where I made little to no mistakes and never misplayed in a way that would lose my team a fight and still i would lose because my team couldnt pull together enough brain cells to do things that gold elo should do. After playing in plat for a few tens (maybe hundreds) of games, its truly frusturating to be in this position. I now have to DQ with 1+ people that I know and trust to be competent to be able to win, its not because I'm bad, its because I can no longer influence the game enough to win as a support, Is the problem with the meta? the players? the champions that are popular atm? I dont know but any combination of those is making playing support a chore, and I applaud such characters as Aphromoo in playing support and managing to stay not only sane but non-toxic too.

I dont know how to fix this, or even begin to understand what the root of the problem is so I cannot offer any suggestions here, but if Riot or the player base wants more people to play support, make it so that im not playing 1v9 when I play support.

P.S If I could have a support champ made with kallista ult for my adc and lulu ult as basic abilities, that'd be great thanks. Oh and throw in a janna shield on there. You know what maybe for the ultimate of this champ let me take an instant cast leona ult. I think i'd enjoy playing support with that. I'd call it: "Jarl: The Anti-Stupid Adc Champion!"

I've always filled in support as my main role since there's nothing more irritating than an EUW player who can't speak English properly whining about not getting their role. The issue is that 90% of my games are in support roles... Meaning I'm put against players that I'm equal with as support, but if I ever get another role I'm entirely outmatched and get destroyed :O

I didn't read your post all the way tbh but it always makes me laugh when people choose fill and then complain about always getting support. Obviously you are going to get the role that the least people enjoy playing.

It's definitely a problem.

Right now its easy to get around by not selecting fill/support unless you are prepared to play support.

I'm sure, compared to a lot of the other things, this will be one of the easier things to adjust.
