Quinn is fine (after her bugs are fixed of course) Valor on the other hand.......

In my opinion he needs a buff. Something to make the ult more....."ult-ly?" Most of the time I feel like I am just using it for getting back into lane or to chase someone at low health. And while that is a use for her ult, I might as well use Sivir for that.

So what can we do for Valor? I thought of 2 things.

  1. Harrier: This passive is disable when Valor is out and I can understand why, but how about after the ult? When Skystrike is activated, all enemies that get hit by it and survived are marked by Harrier for Quinn to finish?

  2. More bonuses for Valor as skills level up: I like that Valor get more attack speed the more level you put into Quinn's W. It really feels like you are giving Valor more power and a reason to switch to melee instead of staying at range. So why not give Q and E that as well? Like giving Valor bonus lifesteal if you level up Q or give him bonus critical strike chance by leveling up E?

Personally between the two choices I like the second one more. It gives a little extra reason into what you level/max out first for not only Quinn, but for Valor. And when you max out all her abilities, Valor becomes a much more power melee champ that you will WANT to use, especially if the enemy try to jump on you during a teamfight.

But what do you guys think?

I like your lifesteal idea. Valor needs SOMETHING since he is melee champ. Either more armor and MR, dodge, just something to make it worthwhile. Honestly has to be the worst ult in the game. The execute is pathetic, Quinn does almost that much damage with an AA. The only real reason to use the ult is to run away or to catch up to someone, that's it.

Quinn ult is faster than a sivir ult though.

True, but Sivir on a lower cooldown and effects allies as well.

PLUS Valor's movespeed only works out of combat. Once you start taking damage or dealing it, the effect is disabled until you leave combat, like Mobos.

Honestly Valor's single biggest issue is a lack of survivability. It forces you into melee but doesn't offer any defensive stats of any kind. Late game, you will essentially lose a duel to an adc using this ability because of all the free damage they will get on you while you try to close the distance. Plus the AoE blind has a ridiculously tiny radius, and doesn't last long enough to be very decisive. Personally, in line with Valor being a really fast friggin bird, I think Valor Form should grant like 20% chance to dodge autoattacks or something. And before anyone talks about how broken dodge is as a mechanic, dodge on runes and items was broke as shit because anyone could build it. Dodge in kits clearly isn't a huge problem, seeing as how Jax is scarcely even the terror he once was in solo queue. The main issue with it is that, like Crit, when you fail the rng roll it does nothing. However, even a chance of a defensive buff is better than a definitive lack of defensive steroid in this case. That's just my opinion though.

Not entirely. His MS bonus gets reduced to 20/30/40, but not completely removed.

TheLastBaron881 votes

Ah my bad. It's a pretty stark difference from the out of combat ms though. It just looks like you are crippled when you go from zooming around the map to just kind of limping.

lightdragoon881 votes

I can agree with that. And keeping close when you are on them is easy anyway thanks to Valor E.

Dude that brings up another thing that irks me. It's so gimpy how Quinn's E shares a cooldown with Valor's E, when they do kind of opposite things. Would really make for some flashier plays if it didn't share a cooldown.

lightdragoon881 votes

That I can agree with.

WHAT THE HELL!? I didn't even realize that her ult shared cool downs! She has long ass cooldowns in general, why should they be shared? What about other champs that can use abilities right away!

Which is why I like my second option. If you want less RNG luck, then level up Q to give Valor more lifesteal. But if you want to chance the RNG Gods, then max E for Crit.

I feel like Quinn has a ridiculously OP kit. She just doesn't seem viable in the current meta.

Her Q is an AoE blind, she has a huge damage increase, and she has vision shit. Her ult is really nice for picking off kills, and still has decent peel.

I am not 100% sure of why she sucks, it's probably because of her ratios and maybe her attack range (I don't play Quinn enough to know), but to me, it seems like trying to take Bruiser Fizz in S3 or some shit.

Graves has always been (since I've been playing) a pretty sucky ADC, then he just came back into the Meta and I find it difficult to win lane against him due to his high burst damage and utility.

I am sure Quinn will be brought back into the meta soon, or maybe just make her ratios better.

I know on paper Quinn sounds good...but Valor, even on paper, does not sound good at all.

I bought Quinn recently, looked at her scalings, and now I know why she sucks ass.

I got ahead with around 2 kills or so, and I couldn't do shit the entire game. Her Q has one of the lowest fking scalings for AD Abilities, and you can't even cast your Q while you are Dashing to your target. Your dash is almost a fucking handicap!

lightdragoon883 votes

And the worst part about her Q: The blind is the same 1.5 seconds. If the blind time increased it would of been a really good Q.

To be honest, I would prefer a better ratio that way Quinn could be played more diversely in lanes. Top, Mid, Bot and not go without a huge punishment if you're laned against a caster.

I just don't view quinn as an adc in opinion. She's good, there is no doubting that, but I'd rather see her in a top lane position like what people were doing with vayne. Quinn is a much better pick for that and can build a little bit more survivability in that role.

The problem is its really really really easy to dive Quinn under tower in top lane in a 2 vs 1 and burst her and her midgame power spikes are much worse than the average top laners so even if you get ahead it can be difficult to stay ahead, imo.

Sometimes, a 2 vs 1 is not even needed. Once the top laner is tanky enough (usually after first or second back), dives become incredibly easy for them, setting Quinn very far behind.

I'd like the ult cooldown to be less than 2 minutes.

lightdragoon881 votes

It is less at rank 3.

Seren Kali1 votes

This is why I use Quinn as harass/traditional ADC and Valor an Assassin. Flashy stuff happens via Valor's abilities and Ult, basic mechanics and teamwork with Quinn.

If it meant making (E) Vault slightly less extremely annoying, then I'd gladly deal with some Hyper Damage bird. (You know, not Anivia.)

lightdragoon881 votes

Less buggy for one.

Blind Drunk1 votes

But have you seen Anivia Crits?

Kaloran1 votes

I love playing Quinn. She's fun! She's just... not as good as other marksmen.

Still my 1st pick for ADC tho :D

lightdragoon881 votes

What changes would you like to see for Quinn? Or Valor?

Kaloran1 votes

Longer range for 1 thing. Vayne uses a crossbow as well, but she has longer range, and her weapon is mounted on her wrist!

Zyorhist1 votes

Honestly the only thing I would do with Quinn and valor is move some stuff around. They are both strong and work well together but here is what my thought was. Increase the speed buff on her w when she hits a marked target. Refresh e cooldown when she goes into and out of ult. That's it.

lightdragoon881 votes

A refresh on E would be interesting...

Durzaka1 votes

I dont think Valor needs a buff.

The problem is that it is an assassin style ult, on an ADC. Meaning it is going to be used in an assassin type fashion to either chase someone/catch them, or to dive someone you know you can kill.

If youre going to buff Valor, youre going to make solo lane quinn even stronger. She needs a new ult if you want ADC quinn to be better.
