Frost queens on mids?

questions: -why? extra pick potential? -which champs and situations are best for it? -is it worth it when the money passive is basically disabled by your constant csing and it kind of delays you from getting actual damage?

It's a very cheap and attractive ball of stats, and the other sources of CDR and mana regen have been nerfed recently, making them less efficient than it. It's also worth noting that FQC (the final form of the item) doesn't disable upon minion kills, so you can keep racking up the cash while last-hitting to your hearts' content. With the increase in cost of most AP items, the extra cash really helps.

People are building it basically in any situation in which you might otherwise build a Morellonomicon: early mana regen and CDR with some useful goodies tacked on.

Frost Queen's Claim got gutted.... I'm not seeing it used almost at all anymore; Support or mid, either one.

Supports that became popular are not being picked anymore in favor of majority tanky supports (RIP support diversity)... maybe this is just solo queue , I don't know if LCS is using the same version and I haven't been watching it, but ranked has shown huge decrease in FCQ.

  • Utility. There isn't a single mage that doesn't like heatseeking Morgana Q's. Also gives scouting, which is incredibly nice when green wards have been removed.
  • If you have DoT spells. If you use mana. Both are viable points.
  • It doesn't. Once you get FQC, you start generating insane gold.
