Promotional Games

Whats going on in the Promotional games? Me and my friend both finish preseason Silver 4 and we won 9/10 (him) and 8/10 (me) of our promotional games and got placed in Bronze 3. Why is this? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

You get placed about a tier lower from where u ended. Same as every year.
