Riot please respond. What are the conditions for success or failure for URF?
Since I am a huge lover of URF, I would like to know based on your own words, what are the conditions for the experiment of URF mode being a success so it can stay around longer, and maybe become a replacement or cohabitant with ARAM as a permanent mode?
"URF causes some people to stop playing League, but a lot of you really love it. So instead of killing URF altogether, we’re just gonna keep experimenting to find some healthier version of the mode. " -Riot
What will determine if this version is a "healthier version" because although people complain about the new changes, including myself, I still love having this mode around. I actually took a year off from League because I was so mad I heard URF was not coming back, and upon hearing URF was returning I came back, started playing again, and will continue to do so.
What are the conditions for the experiment to be a failure for this current version of URF? Do you have data and numbers to share along with the claims that people leave after so called "burn out" from playing URF too much?
If this is a fact and all those people who love it so much just quit the game, why can't we see some kind of stats on it? Maybe some of us could help in some way to evaluate the problem too, instead of just scrapping the mode and saying its bad, while confirming so many people love it, which to me doesn't seem right.
"Tell us your thoughts about Snow Battle ARURF—we’ll listen and apply what we learn to ARURF’s next appearance." -Riot
My thoughts are this: Bring back URF classic, and ARURF and see which one gets played more, and then tell us the difference. I would personally not like to see AR URF back, because the mode is annoying for the simple fact that you can't choose the champ you want.
Less choices mean less fun in most cases, so its not a better choice for a fun mode in my opinion.
now, and supports cant NOT have 40% cdr without trolling.) and then you get items like ...
600 mana, an above-average AP, and a strong passive on top of 20% CDR.
In order to burn up the 600 mana, a Veigar would have to drop his entire rotation, sans ult, wait out the CD, fire Q 2-3 more times, and then E+W+Q+R. Oh but he has a blue buff so he actually just regenerated ~180 mana back.
And he has his base mana too so he's not even at half mana and can do this again when his ult comes back up in 45 seconds.
