Why URF should Live Forever.

Here are 10 reasons URF should be around.

  1. It is fun and fast. (Low time commitment for people who work a lot or have lives besides League.)

  2. Quicker Champion Mastery while having fun.

  3. Broken, and is fun because it is broken.

  4. You get to pick what champ you want.

  5. Enough people like it to have it stay.

  6. More people will play league because URF draws people in for the fun.

  7. I hate Teleport, and URF got rid of Teleport, so it should stay.

  8. Fast ip grind, we need it! (Other than ARAM)

  9. None of the other alternate game modes come even close to being as fun.

  10. Infinite Mana, no cool downs, and no Teleport, what more could one ask for?

All I see here is "I like it that is enough of a reason to keep it" while at the same time completely ignoring everything that riot has said AND PRESENTED that goes against most everything you said.

People queuing up for URF drop dramatically after the first day or two. Even more so than any other mode.

Riot has even presented data that shows that people actually stop playing the game for large periods of time after URF (or any of their incarnations) is released so how does that equate to "more people will play league". If anything it'll have the complete and total opposite result and have more people LEAVING league.

Enough people like it? I see people bitching about it and people bitching about the people bitching about it... but how can you even say that is "enough people"? Unless you can give us data of people actually liking it then no, not enough people like it enough and just from looking at how the amount of people queuing up actually goes DOWN drastically then I doubt most people care about the mode for more than a couple of days.

Then you come up with reasons why YOU like it instead of actual non-biased things. Fun is subjective so you cannot and I repeat CANNOT say that URF is more fun than any other mode. You can like URF more than any other mode but that doesn't mean the same can be said about everyone else.

Can you give me the data on what you said? The opposite happens, so people leave league because of URF? Show me the data please, I would like to see it.

Every time I queue a game for URF its instant. It was instant in the past all the way until the last day of URF. Does that mean less people play it or more people play it?

I would like to hear what you have to say about it.

Oh and do you work for Riot? How much are they paying you to say that? No dollars?

Whats that?

Oh okay, you don't work for Riot, so I think you don't really have any data to show me on this subject, so I don't expect you'll reply with the data.

Why don't you go and look for riot posts that have talked about this stuff? They are not rare and they even have a blog about it this year. Yoi can be as salty as you want it literally changes nothing about what I said.

I have see the posts, and still you have given me zero data, and those posts from Riot don't give me any data either. So where is it at? You call me out for not having any Data on this subject but you don't say one word about Riot. They are straight up lying to everyone for all I know. They claim to be transparent about it, but they have shown no data at all. Its BS and here is why, they brought URF back because:

wait for it.....

The community wanted back.

Meaning what?

People in massive amounts play the mode.

Also I just played an URF game, and I asked everyone in the champ select if they think more people play URF than Ranked 5v5, and you know what the overwhelming answer was from all the people?

They play URF more. So there is some Data from a small pool of people. Why don't you ask a few people in games what they play more of and come back and tell me what data you have on the subject.

What is the point of sending me this link I have read?

There is nothing there for me.

Why should Riot have to give you, a nobody, data?

CominTowardsYa2 votes

Because they said they are transparent. They aren't which makes them liars, does it not? You and I are players, and if you think I am a nobody, then you also think you are too. Don't think that way man, we matter, and Riot should understand this. Don't you agree?

Except they have given us the data. Go look at their blog about how well TFT is doing and they even have a graph listing most modes and showing how much people spent playing them. You not wanting to listen to them or look for their obvious blogs where they talk about this stuff is if no concern to us. You can be as salty as you want, it changes nothing

Send me a link to the blog with the URF data in it please.

I don't know if me being salty has changed nothing, I have been salty about URF being gone for a long time, along with a lot of other people, and in their Blog I don't read, it said this was their way of giving the community what they want, but for some reason being salty and complaining to Riot changes nothing in your opinion? Isn't the fact URF is back proof that complaining changes things, if Riot hates URF mode so much?

Sad thing is i would more likely believe a narcissistic world leader who has a real problem with telling the truth over riot and their "Data" which i am sure you know can be fabricated like they did with Nexus Blitz.

Another point you make is "Obvious blogs" yet riot posts more info on 3rd party apps etc then here, so unless you know every single Fucking person who works at riot including the janitor you can't find all the info about the game.

except that you can just follow their "riot ask" blogs, you can also go to twitter and ask whoever you know "hey who can I speak about X" and they'll tell you who to speak to. If you don't want to trust riot in what they say then guess what? nothing anyone says will satisfy you and you will only look at things that go with your little bias. "their data is fabricated because it's not what I believe it's true" this is what you are telling me. They have zero reason to fabricate any of the data. They have their own blog space, you can find a lot of the info you are looking for very easily if you actually bother to look for it. The info isn't hidden in some obscure place. They constantly link the blogs whenever they are available, whether through twitter or even the front page of this site. You can keep being lazy and having your tinfoil hat theories all you want, changes nothing.

Imagine the reason why league resents URF is only because it actually helps with people's addiction instead of making it worse... oh yeah. That's right. RIOT claims that people stop playing URF because of 0 legit evidence that supports it. Yet time and time again, URF comes around which only means that they were lying sacks of money spreading false information just so they don't have to constantly reload their biggest mistake of a prank gone horribly backwards.

It is fun and fast.

Fast? Yes. Fun? Only if you win

Quicker Champion Mastery while having fun.

Urf should not give any champion mastery

is fun because it is broken.

Only if you win with it

You get to pick what champ you want.

Just like in normal games

Enough people like it to have it stay.

Leave it for a year, and it will be played less than TT.

More people will play league because URF draws people in for the fun.

I don't know a single player who started playing because of urf.

I hate Teleport, and URF got rid of Teleport, so it should stay.

Cannon is just another teleport, with lots of bugs and a shitty delay after landing

Fast ip grind, we need it!

I think ip given depends on game length so short games don't really give more

None of the other alternate game modes come even close to being as fun.

None of the other alternate game modes come even close to being as unfun if you lose

Infinite Mana, no cool downs, and no Teleport, what more could one ask for?

Balance and counterplay?

More from Gameplay
