Help with understanding MMR

Hello. I need some help understanding why I am gaining such low MMR but losing more than I'm earning. I am a S2 30 LP player, IGN Player 164. I am earning 18 LP, however I am losing 20 whenever I lose, which I don't understand as on op.gg it says my MMR is a bit higher than average, so if someone could help, I'd appreciate it :)

MMR is a broken, unhealthy system

I explained that somewhen today, let me just try to find that in a minute...

The higher your MMR the higher your opponents will also be on average. If you play against harder opponents (have higher MMR than you) then you get more LP and lose less because you are expected to lose. Works also the other way around.

Your MMR > enemy MMR -> Win less LP on win, lose more LP on defeat. Your MMR < enemy MMR -> Win more/lose less

But it's every game I'm losing more MMR than what I gain. I am consistently losing 20 but gaining 18-19, which is annoying. My MMR is higher than average for my rank yet I can't seem to get more.
