Support Troll reported by entire team yet still allowed to play matches after

Played a ranked game with a support by the name of blah blah Janna support and vayne adc. We die 10 minutes in to a gank which is fine, however, this is where she starts to troll. She never appears to bot lane ever again. She goes mid, takes farm from the mid laner, goes top, takes more cs, then recalls, buys pink wards, keep in mind she is literally avoiding bot lane all together. Mid and top are asking Janna to return to bot to help me as I am trying to hold the lane as best as I can. No response from the Janna, she is wandering off in the jungle aimlessly while all of our lanes are just losing miserably. We all report the Janna for obvious trolling. However, I op.gg check her, she is somehow able to play 2 more ranked games before apparently getting off. I dont understand, I've gotten a penalty for telling people theyre just bad at the game and shouldnt play the champ, which is bad on my part. Yet, she is blanatly trolling and still allowed to keep playing the game and probably even ruin other peoples game? I dont understand, punish toxicity but trolling is still lenient? Even after the entire team reported the Janna, no punishment seems to be drawn. There's seems to be a planetary difference between toxicity and trolling.

Looking at the game results objectively.

14 CS in 21 minutes, not really stealing a ton as you make it sound.

1/4/3 1:1 KDA 57% kill participation, tied for the most on your team.

vision score of 45, 23 wards placed, 8 control wards purchased.

all items built are support related, no troll items

maybe Jana thought she would be more useful helping other lanes.

your JG went 2/5/1, looks like mid went 1/4/2.

was it a troll, or your team was just outmatched this game?

Edit: do you recall how the team was asking her to return to lane? If it was toxic, good chance she might have /mute all, and why there was no response.

Naming and shaming is against forum rules. I understand your need to vent, but you need to remove this players name from your post since publicly shaming another player isn't allowed.

next time don't flame someone and they won't troll :)

I'm amazed that she still managed to outward the Sona. But I suppose that is beside the point. As to why she isn't punished as quickly... gameplay offenses, like trolling, require a different type of evidence than the chat related ones. It's easy to prove if someone is toxic. You've got the logs of it. It's not always so easy to tell if someone is trolling. Is the support trolling, or are they roaming to get vision control? Are they roaming for ganks on other lanes? Are they trying to assist the jungler? These are things that you as a player in the match know because you were there, but the system doesn't have such an easy time picking them up.

And because the first punishment for a gameplay offense is a 14 day suspension, the system wants to make sure that it has ample proof before it issues that punishment. It doesn't want to punish someone wrongly. Depending on your elo, it's entirely possible to have a support that spends almost half of the laning phase out of the lane. I've even seen Janna supports roam as much as a Bard or a Thresh does. So, it's not like you can even pin it down to a certain level of player, or type of support. Which makes it all very difficult for Riot to tune the system.

So, the best thing that you can do as a player in these situations is make sure to add additional comments to the report. When you fill it out, don't just check the boxes. Type in specifically what she/he is doing. If they are abandoning lane, stealing cs, wandering in the jungle without playing, walking afk without farming/gaining exp, put all of that in the comments. Many people just check off the box that covers negative attitude/griefing, and don't type anything else, and then nothing happens. Because there's not enough information for the system to use. Riot is trying really hard to get the FeederBuster and trolling systems up to par right now, but we have to do our part and give them the info they need to fine tune it.

You can probably get some sort of investigation done against the player if you submit a support ticket. Riot can investigate and although they won't tell you what action is taken, they will certainly look into it and take whatever actions they deem appropriate.

Support Troll reported by entire team

So at least 1 report was submitted. Did that person exhibit the same behavior in previous games?

At least the whole team reported the player.. I just got out of a ranked (!) match where I had a Shen (!) support who, because I did not have enough mana to save him (!) from dying once, decided in the beginning of the game that he will not even come on the bot lane anymore and left me alone against a Teemo + MF. Obviously I could barely stay alive, let alone farm, but the rest of the team did not give much of a crap about that, so I guess that's it. You can imagine what the experience was like for me and how weak I ended up being without much farming going on. So believe me, the fact that u had an empathetic team means the world still.
