How to go from a 25 game mute to a brand new slate

Hello, I recently reached the point where I received a 25 mute game and I take my actions as stupid and I accept the punishment. However, I was wondering how many games are needed to play in order to revert down a penalty, until basically a clean slate? I also notice how people who legit say "I hope your mother gets cancer" things along those lines I see still allowed to play the game, meanwhile I would argue back and forth with some guy whos grefing all game non stop, telling his support to fuck off and such, and I get a penalty. I do understand my actions and accept the punishment, yet the guy who says hateful and horrible things is still allowed to play the game, which baffles me honestly. Also a man had the name "Nig Gr" that was extremely offensive, yet no action has been taken place. Has riot been going extra crazy on the bans?

i got a 10 game chat restrict on my euw account back in august and even tho i dont play much on it, i got back to honor 1 in 1 month and to honor 2 in another month

meanwhile you'll see others complaining that they're still honor 0 after 6 months of gameplay

it's about quality, not quantity

Ah okay, so pretty much just be positive and such and you'll get honor back. I am assuming that if you get honored for GGs and sportsmanship, would raise your honor level back faster? Since you said quality I am assuming it's by the honor system itself.

contrary to popular belief the only link the punishment system has to honor is with regards to actual punishments

the ammount of honor you get has no impact on your punishment levels

just be nice and you'll be fine

Haha I got my teammate telling my other teammates' mother to get cancer, hope he dies, etc. I see he's still playing games all fine and dandy even though when I reported him I went down to the tiniest detail. I also have another guy threatening to afk if I don't gank his lane, telling me gj when we both die, calling me useless, etc, he's still playing the game all fine like nothing happens. Honestly I feel like my reports just have no bearing after a while but if I get reported it's immediately a chat restriction which is increasingly frustrating. If anything from now on I'm just all chat muting and playing my game tbh, very frustrating but oh well.

quoting one of my old reply about the subject :

There are a lot of examples on this forum, where people don't get why they don't gain honor back, like this one, or this one that are both recent, i linked tantram's comment each time, in those examples you can see they clearly think that they are doing well but in fact they are not. I suspect a lot of people that are in this case are doing the same thing, maybe even without being conscious of it, some sentences are and will be considered unsportsmanlike by the system. I guess people must remain unreported during a certain time, or be honored by a lot of players to gain back. But once you've been punished, If you want to level up, you have to be honorable in game 100% of the time. Even one game of dishonorable behavior can derail your progress. If you are being validly reported, it can slow your honor progress, up to virtually no progress being made. If you misbehave in games still, but it's too rare/infrequent for you to deserve a full-on punishment, you may still not be progressing in honor.

Reminder/Clarification: There's a difference between honor level, which goes down with violations, and the tier of the violations themselves. For example, being Honor Level 5 does not protect a person from being suspended for feeding. Similarly, someone giving honor for a good K/D isn't going to change an account that is at Tier 2 for it's violations, only actually fixing the behaviour and ceasing the actions that are in violation of the Terms of Use will do that.

"I also notice how people who legit say..." We'll stop right there. Other people's action have no bearing on whether or not someone else is following their contract, nor does it matter that one person who has committed more violations, and is thus closer to moderating actions, happens to have been placed in a game with someone who has committed less.

On the second paragraph, I meant it as in general, basically nothing to do with the reasoning as to my 25 game mute. Pretty much I see people telling others to get cancer, to die, to hang themselves, yet I clearly see them playing games still with no punishment, and it's frustrating because they are the ones who shouldn't hold an account at all. I guess even all the reports can't get rid of the toxicity like that, then what will?

No one knows how many games it takes. That's because we don't know alot of factors about it, and also because it varies from case to case. The consensus around here is that it takes around 3 months to drop a "punishment level" if you play an average amount of games per day.
