If you're talking about the EXPERIMENTAL grievous wounds Thornmail change on the PBE, then you shouldn't worry too much. A Rioter responded to a thread (which was posted yesterday, I believe) and mentioned that this change likely won't make it to live. Also, Soraka is cancer.

Things don't get in PBE by chance man, they are testing and are looking forward on that direction until enough stuff can be said about it.

This one actually got onto PBE too early and BY chance of them not taking it out by accident. Things that aren't meant to be on the PBE are usually still in testing and might not work out. For example, one time an Alistar change that made his W a non-targeted dash got onto the PBE early, was reverted, and was never seen again.

The irony in that is that the Rioter's comment literally said that it was accidentally pushed to the PBE at the last minute. I'm not even trolling. I highly doubt they'll make it to live based on what he said. They're definitely still trying to experiment on Thornmail though with the intent of changing it - that much is certain.

Let's hope never.

Why would you auto-attack someone with Thormmail? You'd do more damage to yourself than to your target.

If you are auto attacking someone with thronmail as soraka you might want to rethink your life choices.

Yeah, because Soraka need to heal herself and not the adc that is kiting the tank right? Such non-sense. This is the kind of reasoning behind downvotes and why i don't think soraka discussions will rise following a reasonable thinking about the champion.

Adcs have a ridiculous amount of healing from life steal right now and it needs to be curbed anyways. Lowering the healing from a soraka will make her more balanced because a good soraka will keep an adc from dying if that adc isn't 100-0 quickly, with or without life steal.

"good sorakas will", say to me what is the secret counter play that requires skills to GW that i still don't know. There is no counter play to GW, its a doom call for soraka always it's on someone.

Exactly, it is suppose to make a soraka's life hard, that is the counter play. Other than morello's that requires to get an enemy below 35% and executioner's calling which can only be build on ad champs who choose it, there is none for tanks and it gives another way to help counter healers on purpose. The good sorakas will save the adcs because they will be in the right place at the right time, but now grevious wounds will make that job harder for those sorakas so they can't just make a carry a tank by her insane healing.

OP's problem is that this is literally a Soraka-exclusive problem. Every other support has some sort of tool to help beyond healing, and could help skirt around Grievous. Maybe Soraka's passive should have GW only knock 25% off her healing.

It's suppose to make a small part of dr mundo, swain, nami, sona, taric and other characters hard. Soraka is the only character that is completely shut down by it without a chance of counter play.

Soraka likely won't be affected too much, especially since the change to Thornmail has already been reverted.
