what to do about this scenario in bot lane?

DISCLAIMER I'm not trying to blame my sup. I'm just looking for some advice.

just that when you are in the bot lane, and the other player is not picking up on the right things for whichever reason, whether they're making the wrong decisions during a skirmish, or not positioning well enough to manage the zones in the lane, or wandering off into the woods/recalling at the worst times, whatever it is, they're not as skilled as the other three members in the lane.

what are our options as ADC in such a scenario?

the best thing I've found to do, really the ONLY thing I've found to do, is try to get the farm I can and just be as passive as possible... and then the sup keeps blaming me for being too passive and they go ham anyway, or blames me for not being good at farming and positioning themselves in a weaker position. whichever it is they do they're clearly tilted by my passivity, and then before long the enemy has more cs and at least 2 more kills then me and half the time the tilt spreads to my other teamates. and even though I have the potential to play well once I hit my power spike and make up for being behind, I don't get that chance because the rest of the team has lost focus and I need their focused decision making in order to do my job when behind.

so besides being so passive you're AFK farming for 20 minutes and hoping your team doesn't tilt too much... what can be done?

Basically get a feel for the kind of decisions your lane partner makes (even if they're the 'wrong' ones), and try to be in a position to make the most of the resulting clown fiesta (and/or minimise the damage).

Sometimes that'll involve salvaging a kill from a suicide kamikaze mission, sometimes it'll be blowing your summs to keep the enemy from getting a kill, and other times it means you might have to spend more time warding (pink/trinket) places you might not otherwise have to if your lane partner made better decisions. Often times, it does just mean doing a lot of relatively passive farming.

If your lane partner is doing more harm than good, you can roam and/or tell them to roam and see if their decisions might work better in a 2v1 situation provided you're capable of being safe under the turret.

(Most of the above applies to either support or ADC who might be feeling frustrated for reasons you outlined. Sometimes both in the same game since people are convinced that their decisions are the 'right' ones and it's the other person failing to follow up appropriately.)

I try to do something like that but it's so difficult at times, it's hard to see things you don't see y'know? but I find your comments to be helpful at least. I just need to remember to keep looking for new ways to adapt.

Farm and scale. ggez. I feel like I can carry bot lane 99% of the time by myself regardless of support does, unless they legit goes 0-4 in 10 mins.

yes like sometimes I figure out my new level of elo and for about 10-20 games it's surprisingly easy to carry, then I get into a neww mmr and I'm just lost all over. maybe it's just a matter of patience.

Well since I mainly play support I guess i can speak for the supports here. Like most support mains they tend to find out quickly that not everyone is supportable.

But to answer your question its easy. have you tried pinging or typing what you want them to do? If your support goes to ward then you should see this and back away a little so that you dont get jumped on while they are off. When i support i dont just ward the river or tri bush. I will tell my adc "brb warding" and i will ward our buffs and sometimes go into enemy jungle and ward their buffs.

if they go to recall do the alert ping and type stay. I know sometimes people will recall for absolutely no reason with full health and mana and then boom the tower gets dived.

i assume just try and talk to the support honestly or just find a support main duo que.

Um, you are using rageblade ashe it is not the typical adc build and I bet most supports dont know how they are suppose to support this.

rageblade ashe is something I'm doing only recently. the OP is asking a question I've been struggling with since when I used to be a support main. it's been over a year and I just haven't figured anythingout

Like someone else was saying, just learn how your lane partner plays, and follow up on that. You might think they're bad, but maybe they have a reason for what they're doing, and you're just letting them down.

If that's too much effort, just try CALMLY asking them to do something else, or to stop doing something harmful.

... and never, ever build Rageblade on Ashe or Trist. It's not good.
