Who do I play into thresh as a support?

Peel for my ADC·1/29/2019, 5:02:33 PM·2 votes·2,381 views

I ban Morgana every game

Most thresh players really arn't that good but when they are experienced with him I usually lose my lane My safe pick has been Braum against him but I feel like I should try something different If I play an enchanter , I'm not so much going to get hooked myself but my AD is at a much higher risk because I can't eat hooks for him Any off meta picks that are really good against him ? Poppy Sion Rammus My main champ pool this season is Braum Nami Blitzcrank Janna Sona Zyra

Ignore these advices. Zyra dumpsters thresh every time. Thresh is my absolute fave support to lane into as a zyra one trick. Just dump your spells from inside the wave and watch as he cant do anything (obvi run electrocute and profit <3). Hope that helps lad.

Abuse his lowish range. Basically support rule

Engage>sustain Sustain>poke Poke>engage

If you keep him too low to go in he becomes worthless.

Pyke could also be good

Well, Morgana was always a pretty good counter against heavy CC supports, especially tanks, because they have to go in.

I know she will be destroyed by a rework though, so it doesn't matter anymore.

By the way, try adding Lulu to your support roster. She's pretty good against Thresh, she can deny him his abilities for a short period of time.

zyra or brand or sona (get hp/resists though for threshes autos if your using q frequently) through minions.

Pyke wins lane pretty often against Thresh. Last time I checked he maintains a 60% winrate against him (in lane) and with careful positioning Pyke can beat him in teamfights, too.

If you didn't want to play Pyke, I would suggest playing Morgana instead of banning her. I know she's frustrating to go against but her Black Shield can easily stop Thresh's engage or atleast make it more dangerous for him. Braum is a decent choice as well since he can face tank Thresh's combo and jump back to safety or provide enough cover for your ADC to turn on them.

Thresh main here, Zyra will poke you and when winding a hook can full combo you to death Alistar as soon as he engages on adc, combo his ass ezpz Sona can you usually out poke and sustain thresh however if you get hooked ur fuked TahmKench tahm can eat adc rejecting thresh entire laning Morgana black shield Pyke you can try to full combo him but he will always live, he also can flat out ignore thresh and terrorized adc. Honestly find this champ most infuriating, like I will hook him, flay him, ignite, and my adc will auto and he will turn invis for to secs after using his dash. And he is back to 70% HP.

Two ways, Peel, or STRONGER engage.

Your main champion pool doesn't really do either of these things, so I can see why you're having a hard time of it.

You mentioned Poppy, she would actually be really good against Thresh, but she is not a very common support these days. Still, she might be worth picking up in order to have that pocket counter.

Morgana is honestly the best into Thresh. However, if you're good at positioning, Nami, Sona, and Zyra are all good at bullying him out
